“A nice reminder.. time changes everything”
+Was very historical.. remember staying there as a child probably at it best in the 1950s .. many western movies and Hollywood stars stayed there .. an amazing amount .. saw John Wayne and some others in the elegant dining room ..
−The room I stayed in.. was nice but dark .. few lights and if you’re visually impaired hard to motivate in comfortable ably .. but they advertise the older parts of the lodge were from the 1930s ..so for me getting to stay there again was fun

“Very tired property”
+The 1930's Hollywood theme is fun and interesting, the breakfast was ok.
−The tub faucet dripped all night. The toilet kept recycling. The beds were the squeakiest beds we've ever slept in. The room was not in very good shape at all. I dont understand how this place get such high ratings. It is seriously a very tired property. The breakfast was ok, the room, however, was horrible.

“A clean room in a historic hotel”
+The breakfast buffet was wasn't huge but it had ample food (and yes it is currently free for hotel guests). I liked the location. It was easy to find and walking distance to several shops. The room was clean and quite spacious. There are single story buildings where the room door is accessible right from the parking lot, then there is a two story building with room doors accessible inside. My room was in the two story building, which I appreciated since I was traveling solo so I felt safer with the interior entrance. At the front desk they have a sheet with all of movies/TV series made in the area so that was cool. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

“A little slice of history... cozy rooms and a delicious breakfast buffet!”
+The rooms are spacious and well stocked. The bathroom was recently remodeled and had a nice big soaker tub. Even though it's an older hotel it is well kept. The buffet breakfast was delicious!
−The beds were not very comfortable. Very hard. The floors are uneven and sometimes you felt off balance walking from the room to the bathroom area.
