“Great location, modern room, historic building”
+Located on a buzzing street just off Spaccanapoli with good restaurants, but also with double glazing to keep out noise. Modern fitout inside an historic building. Clean, comfortable, spacious, a balcony with street views. Checkin was easy, lift to 3rd level appreciated. Bruno responded quickly to WhatsApp queries. Highly recommend.
−Water pressure in shower not perfect! China coffee/tea cups instead of takeaway cups would be nice.

“Super quiet given the central location”
+The sound proofing is great at this hotel, really amazing how quiet it is. The bed is comfortable, lots of space, coffee machine and pods is a nice touch as well.
−The bathroom is a bit dated, with the shower needing a complete rehab.

“Gorgeous, clean and centrally located”
+The only downside to my stay at Pala is that I wasn't there for longer! I stayed one night in the junior suite - it was very centrally located, the staff were fabulous and the check in/out process was all very straightforward. The room itself was gorgeous with beautiful tile work, double height ceiling and old fashioned door shutters to block out the sun while you slept and keep the room cool. When they were open the room was so bright, airy and the little balcony with chair and table was a perfect people watching spot. Overall the room was also very clean and the bed/pillows very comfortable. Lastly, for other solo female travellers reading, the area was pretty much always bustling so there was no problem walking back late at night etc! I definitely hope to come back for longer some day!

“Except for the staff, I wished we had not booked this location.”
+The room was clean and the staff was excellent.
−The room layout. The stairs going to the bedroom and bathroom were very dangerous of my wife and I.
