“A young person's social hub, not for a peaceful sleep”
+Staff were nice. It was fairly clean.
−It's not as quiet as other reviews mention, and that's why I had booked it. I left a day early because I like to sleep at night. After staff left the young people did what they wanted regardless of the many rules. TV and loud talking up until 1am. The mixed dorm is near to this loud area, so didn't get much sleep. The female dorms is higher up and probably quieter. Overall, wouldn't recommend it if you prefer a peaceful place. I moved to my favourite one in Chiang Mai and it's much quieter with people who are more respectful towards others. Not sure clean, but okay

−The bathroom is a bit small, if you are really tall it is not the best

“An exceptional stay and location that will set the bar incredibly high.”
+It’s like home. Wouldn’t stay elsewhere if I’m back in chiang mai next. I stayed here for a month and having stayed in other hostels and hotels before this in Chiang Mai. I can tell you that Pakping hostel wins on every front, from its location, to hospitality, cleanliness, and loads of thoughtful recommendations. Koki ( the host) deserves a special mention because she really goes above and beyond to make sure that you’re comfortable and looked after. The location of the hostel to nearby convenience stores, old city’s spa and saunas, proximity to temples, best coffee shops and restaurants like sato. plus an absolute bonus for being just a few minutes walk from Buak Haad park, to go take a walk, a run , free yoga sessions. I wholeheartedly recommend you try this place and be prepared because it would set the bar so high that another hostel/hotel would feel like a downgrade.
