+You need to love cats to stay here, as they are the owners of PaCasa Hostal, Josée is just the manager there, like she herself like to joke! 😂 It was a very pleasant stay indeed. The owner is really attentive, friendly and helpful in every situation and the cats are quite generous letting you use the patio and enjoy the nice breeze in the heat of David.

“HORRIBLE. DON’T STAY HERE.”
+Absolutely nothing.
−From the reviews on booking, we assumed that despite the score, our stay would still be pleasant and we would be welcomed properly. I have no idea how people commented such positive things, especially in regards to this host. She is the most unpleasant and least welcoming host I’ve ever met (I’ve been to 50+ countries). When we arrived, I called her on WhatsApp (as requested) to announce our arrival. She was washing the dishes and yelled that the door was open. We didn’t understand where to enter because the door was half covered by a bush. She seemed frustrated that we didn’t understand and even questioned if I understood Spanish, which I am fluent in. We ignored this rude greeting, and just assumed that she was busy. We walked inside and waited as she washed the dishes. All she said was “it’s the door on the right. Open it, you’ll see“ (in the same angry tone). I had previously asked on booking if I could pay by card and the person on booking said it was fine. I double checked if I could pay with card, because if it was an issue, I was willing to pay in cash to facilitate the situation. The lady rudely/angrily said “There should be a commission but I’m not going to charge it. I’m

“Logement chez l’habitante, pas un hostal”
+Les chats sont très mignons, l’hôtesse est généreuse et prête à donner des conseils.
−Ce n’est pas vraiment un hostal mais plutôt une maison d’hôte. Vous n’êtes pas chez vous, et c’est très clair, vous vous trouvez dans la maison de l’hôtesse. Il n’y a donc pas beaucoup d’intimité.
