“The location was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small which was fine. There was an odd”
+The location is excellent. Short walk to the ferry port and the train station.
−We were in the “red room” with 2 twin beds. The private bathroom was not in our room but required 2 keys to get to. Not very convenient at 3am potty break.

“Stella was wonderful. Breakfast was a feast every day. Super clean room and bathroom. All in all a good value in a beaut”
+Very close to the train station and ferry for transportation. Also close to town for restaurants and shopping. Sightseeing close by as well
−Bathroom across the hall from the room. It was private : but you had to lock and unlock it and walk thru a common area hallway to get to it. Not very convenient.

+The property is in a good location. About 100 metres from the station
−There were quite a few steps to get to our room. I think that this should be made clearer to potential guests. The check in process was a little strange. I had to give an exact eta so that the owner could come and open the gate.

+Near the station. Room and bathroom were very clean
−The latest check in time was 20.30 and it seemed to be strictly adhered to. The message I received gave the impression that we would not be able to access the property if we were late and also would get no refund. Also the bathroom was not ensuite which didn't really matter but that is not what we expected.

“Best choice for our first time in Varenna, glad I booked it early!”
+The location, breakfast, view (especially from the red room), the clean rooms & toilets. It’s located few mins away from both the train & ferry stations. You can access a grocery store and a few eateries within a few mins too, or you can walk further down the square for other restaurants and gelato shops.

+Nice little room (Red room) at a very convenient location, just a short walk from the station and the ferry. The lady that greeted us explained the house rules in details and provided us packed breakfast as we had to leave early morning. Overall an excellent stay!

+El personal que nos atendió muy agradable. Desayuno abundante y muy rico. Ubicación cerca de la estación y entorno maravilloso.
−No me gustó, que al tener un vehículo de alquiler, no pudiéramos dejarlo aparcado en el recinto al hacer el check out, ni volviendo a pagar otro día más. Por lo que te tienes que buscar la vida para aparcar en un lugar masificado. La elección del alojamiento era por poder aparcar el coche.
