“Good value for what we paid for two nights.”
+Location is brilliant in centre of town. A nice sized room, basic, but clean. Very old building so no lift, not suitable for anyone with limited mobility, lots of stairs to climb. Breakfast was lovely, and all the staff were very friendly.
−The stairs were hard to climb with suitcase. We didn’t have an en-suite, but had private bathroom just across the landing.

“Great old school pub”
+Staff friendly Both at check in and at breakfast. Room was comfortable and spacious..creaky and uneven floors which I likes as it shows the age of the building. Nice breakfast.comfortable bed thanks
−Maybe the shower in the bath.. didn't bother me, but those with mobility issues might have problems.

“Great value for money and friendly staff”
+Staff were lovely. The room was warm and clean and I slept very well. Breakfast had plenty to offer and again, staff were very welcoming and efficient.
−Cold tap in the bathroom didn’t work and the shower was very small with a tired shower curtain that stuck to me and water ended up all over the bathroom floor.

“Lovely stay at Old post office”
+Location was great. Staff was very attentive, food was excellant and resonably priced. Room was clean & tidy. Bathroom spot on with soap, towels, shower gel etc. Kettle and as much tea u need. Breakfast was exceptional
−There was nothing which i don't like but couple to things to aware off. U have to go through couple of steps to reach the room. That means u might struggle a bit if u r not that mobile.

“I would dine and drink at the old post office but I doubt if I would stay there again.”
+I liked the restaurant. The quality of the food was great. Just good old pub style food. The staff were really friendly helpful and polite. The cleanliness of the accommodation was very good too.
−I didn’t like the room with the external bathroom. I couldn’t get the shower to work or the toilet to flush. My room didn’t have access to plug sockets to charge my phone and the pillows were very uncomfortable. Also there were so many steps to the bedrooms that were a little steep and difficult to navigate if you have a mobility issue.

−Wifi connection was intermittent, the shower was very difficult to use and generally very small. The bed was uncomfortable.

“Quirky two night stay”
+We liked the location of the property. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and clean. The room was quite large and was quiet after the pub downstairs had closed at night. Bathroom was clean. Great to have a luggage store free of charge which was very handy.
−The stairs up to all rooms were very steep and not suitable for people with mobility issues. The room was very basic, with no wardrobe or cupboard space. Decor was dated and carpet in need of cleaning. Toilet & bathroom were across the landing so not on-suite. It was private with key.. fortunately it wasnt a problem. Shower was in need of a refurbish, but worked fine. Breakfast was mediocre and half cold and sausages were cindered on both mornings. Poached eggs resembled a poached mess at best which neither of us ate. Lady serving was flustered on both mornings, but friendly.
