6.0+Beautiful building lovely room (a little warm though and no chance to control the heat)
−The building was shared with another - private - party, one of them drank our wine (we left it in the shared lounge when we went out to eat) :( Would be better to have a mini fridge in the rooms. The staff member was nice enough and gave me extra coffee in fact, but was quite tense when we wanted to spend half an hour extra in the shared space before leaving (thought we’d be able to do that but check out meant to be off the premises, not just to vacate the room). Fair enough maybe, we were still in the building half an hour after check out, but it was a shame I didn’t get to enjoy the morning. Beautiful place though.

+Lovely Penthouse in a semi-rural location not far from Eyemouth. Well designed and great facilities.

9.0+The property has been thoughtfully renovated. The harbour was located just a short walk away, ten to fifteen minute walk.
−The sofa bed needed some attention to ensure a comfortable sleep. Some legs were missing fixing bolts?

6.0“Over priced hotel.”
+The communal areas were stunning , tastefully decorated with designer furniture. However only stayed for one night and didn't have the benefit of enjoying them.
−The room was small, the designer furniture and soft furnishings, over the top for such a small space. The heating couldn't be controlled and was overly hot (25fegrees) to the point that a portable room fan had been left on and the window open for our arrival. The bathroom sink was stone effect, but the material it was covered with was cracked all around the edges exposing the material underneath. There was a curtain missing and the single curtain remaining didnt cover the window fully. 3 chairs in such a small space was too much, a table for the coffee machine would have been more practical, instead they were low down on a tray on top of a chest in the corner of the room. We felt the room was over priced at £125 for 1 night with no breakfast included. To add insult to injury, we received amessage by email 40 minutes before check in time advising that we should contact the owner and pay an additional £30 if we were travelling with a dog. This was the first mention of any charge for dogs and the email didn't provide contact details for the owner.

+The place is super and quirky which makes a difference from the bland white labelled bedrooms for the night
−Not sure if there is a breakfast available however thought I ordered a breakfast but did not see the facilities

9.0“Nice size room, good location- close to town”
+Basically we had our own private house for a couple days. More like an Air B&B vibe than a hotel. Location was good- close to town.
