“Modern and spacious, great for exploring St Ives by foot”
+Nicely decorated airbnb-style hotel. So next to your own room with bathroom, you have access to a communal area with large table, fully equipped kitchen and patio. It was walking-distance to centre of St Ives, just bear in mind that the hotel is up a hill - as are many parts of St Ives. They were flexible with firstly adding dates to the reservation and then finally reducing one day at the last moment, without any extra cost. The refund came through within a few days, so that was very much appreciated.
−Eventhough it was nice that the communcal areas were being kept clean on a daily basis, it was a bit of nuance. I specifically booked this place with the kitchen area to do some work. However the lady doing the rooms and the cleaning the communcal area was in and out and talking on the phone loudly a lot. So I didn't get a lot of peace.

+Location and bathroom . The cleanliness was five star but just needs a few touch ups on the wall.
−The bed needs replacing. The bed springs are making a noise and it was very very uncomfortable.

+Convenient, very clean, inexpensive, has a shared kitchen. My room was very basic but okay for an overnight stay.
−Not as in the photos (some furniture has been removed).

+Amazing location
−Carpet needs cleaning there's lots of stains. No pulg for thr bath and very little water pressure in the shower. Bathroom door was glass so not great for privacy. All plug socket are difficult to reach to plug in amenities. Corridors light sensors are in the wrong place they don't switch on till you past them on the stairs and similarly when your room is beford the sense Instructions on how to open the room door could be more clear as the lock turns both ways. Booking photos could do with updating. Not what I was expecting compared to photos but it was okay.

“I would highly recommend Ocean House. I have stayed there I think three times now and having tried another property in S”
+The room I occupied had been redecorated since my last visit and it’s now looking really fresh and modern with I think a new carpet and new items of furniture. The en suite had been renovated too. The kitchen is lovely and is kept very clean by the staff. I would like to recommend them because I have been in other accommodation where a shared kitchen was not clean. Well done to the staff. I like the arrangement of having a shared kitchen. The location is very handy for the centre of Saint Ives.
−There is not much to dislike. Perhaps the last steps up to the front door could be more level somehow. It is a shame that all the bins lined up take away from the appearance of the approach to the property but there’s nothing that can be done about that. It is the inside that matters.

+Fin utsikt. Stort rum. Bra kök och smidigt med dörrkod
−Fin utsikt men många trappor att komma till lägenheten, annars bra
