“Pretty disappointed with the facility.”
−Looked a shadow of its former self. Breakfast was basic at best. Property was very tired. Bar Closed and unwelcoming entrance. Had more of a feel of Refuge than Hotel. Bedrooms was basic

“Friendly and warm staff. Situated in a great place.”
+The room was just what we expected. The staff were amazing. They were accommodating, friendly and even took time out to find which room I was in when I misplaced my purse. Thank you for the most wonderful stay.

“No accomodation”
+We didnt even get into the hotel. The staff wernt present. We had to phone up staff to gain entrance to hotel. And was refused entry untill 7pm. The staff made to phone calls to us the night before at 9.50pm which we missed due to being asleep which i thought was strange and then contacted us again at 9.30am. Said if we get to the hotel for 10.30am someone would be there to book us in. Our arranged time of arrival was 3pm to 10pm on your websight. When we spoke to staff about entry they were very agressive towards myself which i didnt like at all. There customer service was non existent and theg were very rude to the point they put the phone down on us as we were very distressed by this time as to haveing no hotel . We had to book a further hotel the lyndene who thankfully gave us a tripple room for the same cost as origional booking ? Discused at the way we were treated as long term paying guests on booking .com. We now have recieved full refund only for the fact that my son could deal with customer services at booking.com As im at genius level 2 and a long user of booking.com have never experienced this before. Frankly this hotel should not be able to trade on this platform. We w

“A real shame”
+The staff was brilliant and a great location if you don't want the busy centre
−This is with a heavy heart because I wanted to leave a lovely review but the hotel is looking very tired . The first room they gave us none of the windows would open so they moved us to the only room with a window that worked . The room itself was ok but the bathroom was dirty with a radiator that looked like it had pee stains all over it . Broken toilet roll holder . The window had blinds that didn't work and the bed was so uncomfortable it was very hard and you could feel the springs and the bedding didn't smell very fresh and the was stains on the bedding and we both came away itching and had bites so we didn't sleep very well . Breakfast was disappointing. Very basic and definitely not what you would call continental . There were a lot of repairs that needed doing. I wish them all the best and hope this honest review will help the hotel address some of these problems. Always remember you get what you pay for so next time I will spend a little more:)

+Very pleasant staff
−Unfortunately the large hotel next door looks like it has been shut for a long time . No windows etc which makes the area very derelict looking I know the oven view can't do anything about that as there hotel seems to be a great wee family run hotel
