+Stayed for 2 nights, The room was spotless and very comfortable. Food was delicious and had a great GF menu. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. Will definitely be back.

“If we were back that way we would most definately stay again”
+The bed was very comfortable, clean and tidy, the breakfast was amazing they catered for all needs. Booked for 1 night decided to stay for 2 and they organised that for us. The meals at night were amazing. From when you walked in the door at reception to when we left all the staff including housekeeping and the fire alarm man were lovely really made you feel welcome

“A cool & unique stay at the bottom of Conic Hill”
+This place is a great value for your money - you’re well equipped with the restaurant below, an extremely generous breakfast buffet, and the cafe / town shop next door. The room was spacious & warm, the shower worked well and got very hot (if desired). They had little shortbread cookies in highland coo art packages. Coffee was available, limited tea options. Lots of great local art on the walls and they had things for purchase in the lobby. Their TVs have an interactive information guide to your stay which is something I’ve never seen before and was really informative and helpful. My room was quiet at the end of the building (room 2, only next to room 1). It was nice that their menu and the mocha cafe had vegetarian options. The vegetarian pizza was wonderful and I also had the salmon bowl as a special one-off and it was excellent. The service in the restaurant is slow and has something to be desired but the atmosphere is cool. Most of the front desk staff were all friendly. One who seemed cold at first asked me about my stay and opened right up when I said I was doing the West Highland Way and were super friendly and helpful for the remainder of my stay. −The bed was rock hard which was shocking for a place that’s central to people hiking long distances. Some extra care for rest and comfort would be wonderful! The last thing I wanted when spending extra money for a rest day was a bed harder than camping. The friendliness of the staff was hit or miss. I had some staff who were kind, one that went above and beyond, but many who seemed annoyed at your general presence or any questions what-so-ever. I wasn’t sure if it was a bias due to my accent but it seemed odd for a place so many tourists must visit to be unfriendly / unwelcoming / unopen to questions. But with that being said, I would still stay here again if I was in the area. They tell you to pre-book for food. I booked one night and had a fellow WHW walker who didn't book walk in shortly after me no problem, so l didn't book the second night and was made to wait over an hour despite many tables being open. I used Booking.com and when I checked out they said my balance was still owing. I had to show them that my credit card had been charged and their Inn was my only booked stay in years so the listing on my credit card of “hotel from booking.com” was them. They eventually let me

“Lovely wee overnight stay.”

“Tolle Lage am See”
+Das Zimmer war wirklich süß gewesen. Aber sehr klein. Zu weit hätte es schon Probleme gegeben. Die meisten die ich dort getroffen haben blieben maximal 2 Nächte. Eine Nacht wäre auch in Ordnung gewesen als quasi zwischen Übernachtung. Was gut war die Parkplätze direkt an den Zimmern. Das kleine Café daneben war auch sehr gemütlich und eine riesige Auswahl an sehr leckeren Kuchen, alles selbst gebacken.
−Das Frühstück war sehr einfach gewesen. Wer ein typisch schottisches Frühstück wollte, war natürlich genau richtig. Aber es gab leider keine Wurst, keinen käse. Aber zum Glück Nutella. Der Kaffee war leider zu schwach.

+Wir fanden das Konzept des Oak tree Inn ganz toll. Das Personal beim Frühstück war unglaublich nett, das Frühstück lecker, die Lage ganz ganz toll. Das Personal an der Rezeption und hinter der Bar war auch super nett und zuvorkommend und lösungsorientiert. Es gab einen Fehler bei der Zimmervergabe, als wir dies ansprachen wurde uns gleich eine Flasche Wein zum Essen angeboten. Das Essen war fantastisch!!!!
−Wir hatten vorweg gefragt, ob wir ein Zimmer mit Badewanne anmieten können, dies wurde so bestätigt und bei Anreise haben wir dann doch ein Zimmer ohne Badewanne bekommen. Das fanden wir schade, es wäre uns dann lieber gewesen, wenn uns mitgeteilt worden wäre dass sie es versuchen, dann wäre die Freude auch nicht getrübt worden. Außerdem gefiel uns eine Kellnerin am Abend nicht. Sie war leider sehr unfreundlich, kein lächeln, sie wirkte eher genervt. Es wurde ein Fehler mit unseren Beilagen gemacht, es kam kein Wort der Entschuldigung. Nur ein pampiger Satz zu ihrem Kollegen: "dann bring ihr eben den Kartoffelbrei". Dass die Beilagen dann immer noch nicht korrekt waren interessierte sie nicht und sie verdrehte die Augen, als wir noch einmal auf eine Korrektur bestanden.

“Super endroit pour une première nuit en Ecosse ☺️”
+Propre, joli, très fonctionnel, super bien placé pour faire conic hill, resto si on souhaite manger sur place et surtout le soir même il y avait un live music, c’était vraiment super!Check in et check out très facile
