“Great place for a short stay location”
+It was in the heart of Ella and had all the necessary facilities you needed in a room
−It was a little tired, but for what we paid it was expected

“Very disappointing”
+Nothing but the central location
−They did not clean the room. Breakfast was terrible. The pool…. If that was a pool! Wi-Fi not working! Super expensive for what they offer

“Location fine but everything else disappointing, especially as it wasn’t the cheapest place in town.”
+Location near the strip with all of the bars and restaurants was great.
−Room quality was poor, showers pathetic, WiFi slower than dial up. Noisy door slamming during the nights.

“Great location, excellent value”
+Hotel is centrally located, the staff are amazing, very friendly and polite from the moment we arrived. No lifts so a few steps to the top floors but not too bad. Rooms are clean and comfortable, if a little tired looking. The food we had was very tasty, the only problem was that the restaurant didn't open until 8pm which for us is a little late to eat (being old)
−The fact that it rained on our last morning 🤭

+Staff incredibly friendly and attentive. Room was spacious and clean.
−The location, very central, caused a lot of noise. Not the fault of the hotel though. It was all outside, especially stray dogs continually barking. Perhaps if you stay longer than 1 night you get used to it.

“More a hostel than a hotel”
+It was reasonably clean but def more of a traveller hotel.
−It was grotty in places. Our sheets weren't that clean. It was quite expensive for what if offered compared to other hotels in Sri Lanka. Also there was a festival with the speaker on a post outside our room. Went on til 2 am! And then started at 7 am.
