7.0“We had a pleasant overnight stay.”
+Our host was very welcoming. He was quick to provide us with a different room as we found the room in the eves too hot during the heatwave.

3.0“Uncomfortable bed, dirty room”
+Location
−I booked a deluxe room and was given the attic room and was told they where fully booked. My husband who is NOT tall kept banging his head on the low roof. The kettle was dirty on the outside. There was a lot of dust under the bed. They only hoover as far as the main part of the hoover reaches and as the bed is only a frame you can see straight under it when entering the room. There was only two coffees and we where told they had run out as there was no spare on the hall table. It was all very poor for a deluxe room. The bed was uncomfortable, we had airbeds as we where camping on this break too which we had to use on the bed.

4.0“Small, can't stand up, floor filthy, no staff available”
+Location is fantastic, a short walk to shops and beach. The Central Short Stay car park is just a little further up the high street. You can buy a tourist parking pass for £10 a day that allows you to use any public car park on the island - good value for money.
−We were in the top room which is essentially the attic, in the eaves. We had to stoop to walk around the room. It's also very small. The bath is tiny! The room generally seemed clean, the bed linen was clean but the worst thing was the layer of dust\dirt on the floor around the bathroom basin washstand. It was thick, several inches in diameter and you could write your name in it. It meant that the whole floor hadn't been properly cleaned for, most likely, months as it was an undisturbed thick layer of grime. It was easily seen as well which just makes you wonder who on earth is cleaning the rooms... We tried various times over our two-night stay to find the manager\proprietor, Brian, but no one was ever around (except for evenings in the bar on the ground floor where there were many customers sitting drinking so no privacy to approach him to address the issues). We don't know what size the other rooms are, or how clean but it was very disappointing to be in this one - it's such a cramped space with no warning, the dirty bathroom floor, and the lack of access to staff, who appeared to be only Brian, who was nowhere to be seen during the daytime.

+It is centrally located in beautiful Ventnor High Street on the Isle of Wight. A lovely clean bright and airy room with a choice of bath or shower over head. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
−I liked everything I cannot find any fault.

10.0“A lot better than I expected.”
+It was near the public transport ,right in the centre of the shopping area and a short walk to the sea front. A real little hidden gem, quirky and quaint.I would highly recommend.
−Would have preferred a shower to a bath. But it was a last minute booking and just a personal preference.
