“Excellent quiet retreat on the outskirts of Ella”
+The hosts were absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked in until I left, she was friendly and welcoming. I was offered tea/coffee when I arrived, and the breakfast was a 12/10. Very accommodating and gives great advice. The guesthouse is located near nine arch bridge, it's about a 10-15 minute walk down the steps (one way). There is also an amazing massage place next door.
−It is a bit far away by foot from the center of the city, but can easily be fixed by a tuk tuk, which she can call for you. I would absolutely stay here again.

“Perfect for one or two nights!”
+Nice basic room, big bathroom with hot shower. Bed with mosquito net and warm duvet, comfortable mattress. Very nice place to get breakfast, which was really delicious! Near Nine Arches Bridge and Little Adam's Peak. Tuktuk service from railway station was great!

+I really like that clever and pretty girl. I told her no sugar, and she remembered. When I went out to visit, she gave me an umbrella to keep me from getting wet. The breakfast, including cucumber, pineapple, papaya, banana, juice, sandwich, egg, butter and black tea, is exquisite and very carefully prepared. It is the first time I’ve had a sandwich with scrambled egg and tomato here, and the crusts have been cut off. The papaya juice is really pure, and no sugar was added. Moreover, the black tea is not in tea bags. It’s made from loose tea leaves, brewed and strained.
−There are no hangers. The hairdryer is so weak. It looks like a toy. My clothes got wet in the rain, and no matter how I dried them with it, they just wouldn’t dry.

“Enjoyed the train journey far more than the destination”
+I liked that it was far away from the main area of Ella, which is just so busy and polluted with traffic and tourists... the ladies were extremely friendly and welcoming... and the fruits at breakfast were lovely... it was an easy walk down to nine arch bridge...
−I'm ok with cold showers and I don't mind the steep climbs... it was a good 25 minutes to walk into the main area of Ella but why would you.. Stay local and meet nicer people and enjoy better food.. Cafe Eden and Cafe Piranha have my vote.

+The room is cozy and quiet. The food they cook for you is delicious . It is close to nine arch gap and nine arch bridge. It is a 15-20 min walk to Ella The family that offers this accommodation is very nice and they are always asking if you need anything .

“Wonderful homestay”
+There are lots of nice homestays in Sri Lanka but this has been the greatest of all. Location is great, bit outside of busy Ella but close enough to walk if you don't mind the way. Location is best for nine arch bridge and Adams Peak. Also they can arrange a tuktuk to take you to Ella Rock trail. For the place itself you get your own room with private entrance and bathroom. Both were spotless clean bed was comfy. The best is you also get your own sitting place with a roof in front of the room with a view into the valley. We could just stayed sitting there the whole day. What is absolutely outstanding is the friendliness of the host family, all of them are amazing people and spoiled us with wonderful breakfast, take away when we went on an early hike and showed their garden plants. For us it was the perfect mix between privacy and exchanging and definitely worth a visit

+Excellent location- walking distance from the famous Nine Arches Bridge. Family is very welcoming and attentive towards anything you might need. Room has everything; including hairdryer and to make coffee and tea. The patio where we had breakfast was my favorite part: serene and quiet.

“A Peaceful Retreat in Ella - Highly Recommended!”
+I had a wonderful stay at this homestay in Ella. It’s located outside the busy tourist and restaurant area, in a peaceful setting where you can truly relax. At the same time, if you enjoy walking, the town is still within reach. The best part? The iconic Nine Arches Bridge is just a few steps away, and you can even see it from the property! The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and I had warm water for showers. Fresh towels were also provided, which was a nice touch. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, always making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. They genuinely care about their guests, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was another highlight,huge portions, delicious local flavors, and the freshest sweet fruits, all enjoyed with a stunning view. A lovely touch was the free pick-up from the train station on arrival and a drop-off at the bus station when I left. The owners also arranged a fair-priced transfer to a monastery and waterfalls, making my stay even more enjoyable. They also showed me around their tea plantation and prepare a delicious fair priced dinner for me upon mu arrival. Overall, I highly recommend this
