+We loved staying in a local, non-touristy area. We rode the homestay bikes around a lot of the area - not the greatest bikes - but an authentic Vietnamese experience! The rooms are beautiful - with some lovely artistic touches, the pool is surrounded by a beautiful garden, there is a pool table and cold beer for the evening, and the family makes excellent food. What more could a traveller want??!
−No complaints with the homestay at all. Not a lot of other eating options in the area, but it's no drama when the food at the homestay is excellent.

“Such a beautiful place!”
+Such a beautiful place! Calm and green. Really nice owners. Very local homestay. Authentic village with nice people greeting us in the streets. We wished we could have stayed longer. The owner helped us to a nice driver, who picked us up when we needed to get to Tam Coc or other places. It all felt very personal and kind.

“A Cozy, Serene Oasis with Great Hospitality”
+The hospitality, space, location, and meals were all lovely. The host, Hoàng, was so generous with his wisdom about the area and communication whenever I needed anything. I loved biking around the area over to the Van Long Wetland Nature Preserve and taking a boat ride (I got to see some monkeys in this area as well!). The bike and boat ride through this area were some of my favorite parts of visiting Vietnam.
−This location is remote and you will need to get a car or rent a motorbike from the homestay if you want to get to most of the Ninh Binh main attractions.

“One of the highlights of the whole trip”
+Excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Located in a peaceful neighbourhood, near the Van Long lake, easily accessible by using the homestay's bicycles. Really beautiful homestay, with discrete and minimal design.

“Wonderful stay !”
+Hoang was very welcoming, kind and professionnal. Nhà Lua Homestay is a very beautiful place, very peaceful with a lot of vegetation. The room was very confortable and nicely decorated. Hoang helpt us a lot, always asking if we needed something. We had our meals at the homestay and food was delicious ; Hoang cooks very well ! We had a very nice stay and we recommend other travelers to stay in Van Long, at Nha Lua Homestay instead of Tam Coc which is very touristic and busy. Thank you very much to Hoang and his family !

+Lovely Homestay with beautiful rooms and very atmospheric garden with jungle plants and a nice pool, lovely and very friendly owner family, a great place to chill in the evenings with a billiard table and relaxed atmosphere. Everything very beautifully decorated.
−Location is 30-40 minutes by car from main sights (Tran An boat station, dragon mountain) but near a wetland reservoir. At the moment some construction work going on, but you don't hear it in the homestay at all it's just when you cycle around the place. So location only reason for a 9, otherwise homestay 10.

“Magical spot in Van Long. Exceptional.”
+Magical spot in Van Long wetlands. The gardens are beautiful and a welcome addition to an otherwise hot landscape. Staff are super friendly and the pool is divine . Highly recommend staying as long as you can.

+Un véritable écrin de verdure. Une route est en construction à proximité, mais dès que l'on passe la porte, on se retrouve dans un cocon. Nous avons été accueillis par le propriétaire des lieux, discret et réservé, mais disponible et réactif à chacune de nos sollicitations. La chambre est confortable et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Le petit-déjeuner est très bon, même si la formule se limite à un plat et une boisson au choix sur une carte. Nous avons tout de même demandé des œufs au plat, qui nous ont été préparés de bonne grâce. Deux vélos ont été mis à notre disposition : ils ne sont plus de première jeunesse, mais nous y avons trouvé notre bonheur. Il est également possible de louer un scooter sur demande. Côté situation, comptez une trentaine de minutes pour Trang An, Hang Mua ou Bai Dinh. L'embarcadère de la réserve naturelle de Van Long n'est qu'à 4 km, nous nous y sommes rendus à vélo, justement.
