+I stayed in two different rooms and the room with the private bathroom was way nicer. The rooftop view is amazing - best in Jerusalem. Location is central and so easy right inbetween the armenian and christian quarters but really not far from the Jewish quarter. Marius was amazing - he is so helpful and went out of his way to help me!
−Take a backpack - it's not easy to get a big suitcase down the stairs if your room is right at the top.

“Perfect Location, best rooftop view!”
+The rooftop view is incredible and has amazing sunrise and sunset views. The room is very comfortable and staff are incredible, especially Marius. He is so helpful and kind. I actually extended my stay but to a room with a private bathroom which is more comfortable.
−The shared bathroom situation was not the best. I am not very picky but if you can get a room with a private bathroom, its so much nicer!

“Eclectic and comfortable hostel in Old City”
+Location, Location, Location. Eclectic hostel located inside the Old City, in the Christian Quarter, New Citadel Hostel is a 10-min walk from Jaffa Gate through the Arab Shuk. It’s only a10-min walk to the Jewish Western Wall. The only hard part is pulling your luggage from the light rail train to the Jaffa Gate and then through the Arab Shuk to the hostel. You’re pulling your luggage down cobblestone paths going to the hostel and shlepping it uphill on you departure day. Very comfortable mattress ✅ Loved the views of Jerusalem from the rooftop! Magnificent! Windy and cold on rooftop at night, but the hostel provides thick warm blankets, so we wore them while upstairs at night to catch the stunning evening views 🙏 We stayed in Room 3, only one flight of stairs up from reception desk. The other rooms are flights up. Very narrow stairwells. Room 3 has beautiful stonework. Loved the effect! Worth paying a little more to get the stonework and first room at top of stairs. We shared a bathroom and showers but we’re very used to this. A few rooms on upper floors apparently have private bath. Appreciated having a kettle and mini fridge in the room. We also appreciated that we could leave
−Cold showers in the morning. Given that the hostel is just off the Arab Shuk, we got lost several times, finding our way back, but the Shuk merchants were very helpful, telling us where to turn to easily find our way back 👍

“Geweldige locatie.”
+Geweldige locatie. Geweldige kamer. Lekker bed. Schoon. Goed geïsoleerde en rustige kamer. Geweldig uitzicht op het dakterras, op het oude Jeruzalem. Marius was een hele betrokken en fijne host. Mooie gesprekken met hem gehad.
−Niks. Alles was heel fijn.
