“A lovely home away from home”
+This was a homestay in the best sense of the word. Karen looked after us, was generous with advice and altogether a perfect host. Our room was very large and cozy, had a very comfortable bed and a fridge, which was very convenient. The location is a bit away from the attractions of Perth, but you are very close to a ferry to Rottnest Island and some truly beautiful beaches. Also, the neighborhood is fantastic: quiet and with lots of nature. The distance to Perth is also reflected in the excellent value for money you get.Still, a car is essential in our opinion. Breakfast was excellent for our taste: there was bread, butter and jam, wonderful yogurts and muesli, juices, tea, coffee and milk and a lot more. You were completely free when you wanted to have it. You were also free to use the incredibly well equipped kitchen, and the washing machine.
−These are only some very minor niggles: getting into the shower/bathtub was not easy. Someone with mobility issues might struggle. For someone with a taste for English/savory breakfast, choices were limited.

−Perhaps consider using numbers on the rooms, keys and doors instead of calling it the budget and deluxe room. Also having a bathroom / office sign on the doors would be helpful and avoid confusion. I didn't like walking into an unfamiliar house by myself trying to find my way to my room while I could not even remember what room I had booked (assuming it was the budget room) and then faced with a multitude of closed doors. The shower was difficult to use - when I turned it on to get the heat going it was fine but then when I moved the handle towards the middle to bring in the cold water, it had an almighty loud screeching sound and when you then adjusted the handle to alleviate the noise, the water was scorchingly hot and I could not stand under the water. The next day I opted to rather have a bath but somehow I couldn't get any hot water to come out of the tap even with the handle turned completely to the left, so I had to revert to getting cold water out of the tap and hot water out of the shower for my bath.

−It is very much a house so the shared areas is just everywhere that isn't your room. Didn't hate this but you should be aware before booking.

“Perth Beach Beautie.”
+Very friendly & helpful host. It really was a home away from home. Beautiful room overlooking the pool & Indian Ocean. Mullaloo was an unknown gem to me, bike tracks, beaches, harbours, surf clubs, restaurants, proximity to Rottnest Ferry, it's got it all. Thank you Karen
