“We are very pleased with our stay.”
+Very convenient when you arrive with the bus at 4AM. The view from the rooftop is amazing. Room is spacious and clean. Staff is friendly.
−Some insects inside the room but it’s unavoidable when you stay near the nature.

+For a budget hotel, Mountain View House was a quiet and comfortable (though quite basic) accommodation. I rate it 4-stars comparing the nightly price for what you get overall. I had a mountain view room at 270k, which featured a large bed (mattress was a little on the hard side....somewhere between medium and hard), air-conditioning, wall fan, a small set of table & chairs, a bedside table and a private, wet-style bathroom (with a very good supply of hot water). There was no complimentary water supplied with the room, and bathroom supplies were extremely thrifty and lacked proper soap. My room was clean and functional, and it was sufficient for my two nights. The view of the mountain from my room was unobstructed, but the only drawback is that it overlooks the main road. This can occasionally get a little noisy, especially with the drivers of the sleeper buses getting over enthusiastic with their horn tooting!! However, it was far from unbearable. Mountain View House has a large undercover section at the front, which is good for parking motorbikes. This section also doubles as their restaurant area, inclusive of a free to use pool table. +Extremely helpful manager who has contacted me over WhatsApp right after booking. Booked the buses for us, stayed in touch although he was on holiday. The on site manager was also very nice - ask him about his Vespa!

+Given the price was the same as a hostel bunk elsewhere, I was super happy. The room and bathroom were very clean when I arrived, and the owner checked the aircon was working. The owners didn't speak a ton of English but were very smiley and helpful throughout my stay. There were scooters and decent bicycles available to rent. For my fellow vegans, the free breakfast included simple vege noodles. There were also lots of good options at restaurants very close by.
−My room and bathroom were not cleaned during my 3 night stay, but that wasn't an issue for me.

+Nice room, tidy.
−There were strange repetitive noises coming from the ceiling. Hard to describe what was it, something as if a water boiler expands or contracts.
