+Had a wonderful 2-night stay at Mount Palace in Kandy! The place was beautiful, peaceful, and offered stunning views of the surrounding hills. The facilities were excellent, everything was comfortable, and the overall experience was fantastic. A lovely place to relax and enjoy Kandy. Highly recommended, and would happily stay here again! ❤️

+This hotel can count as a viewpoint of Kandy, the view you get is very beautiful. It’s 15-20 mins walk to the city centre. It’s convenient that there are lots of room to hang your clothes in the room. ÁC works well.
−In the bathroom, the water gets clogged up. Please check the drain.

“Lots and lots of bugs”
+The one real positive about the room was the balcony. We had a lovely view and enjoyed watching the evening storm from there. The staff were also very welcoming, which is why I feel disappointed to be leaving such a negative review.
−Lots and Lots of Bugs I would really like to be able to leave this hotel a positive review, as the staff were incredibly nice and welcoming towards us. However, I feel I have to warn others about our experience last night. We booked this hotel because it was very affordable, and I completely understand that you shouldn’t expect luxury at this price point. However, there is a difference between a basic room and a room where it is genuinely difficult to feel comfortable or get a decent night’s sleep. When we first arrived, we immediately noticed that the room had been heavily sprayed with air freshener shortly before our arrival. The smell was extremely strong, and there was even a slight mist of residue still hanging in the air. Initially, the bed appeared clean, but as soon as we lifted the sheets, we discovered a large cluster of red ants nesting behind the headboard. On closer inspection, it became clear that there was a much larger colony behind the bed. I wouldn’t normally be particularly concerned about ants, but after looking up the type we had found, we discovered that they can deliver an extremely painful bite, with reports of people in Sri Lanka requiring hospital treatmen
