“You pay for the location not for the quality of the hotel.”
+The location. It is near all the restaurants and bars. The staff was very nice and helpful.
−The sheets were kind of dirty when I entered the room for the first time, so I had to ask to change them. There were marks of chocolate in the carpet, and two bottles under the bed. They ask you to leave the AC all day and night on to avoid humidity creates mold in the walls... first time I heard about this and I've been in a lot of humid places... the rooms was a little bit cold.

“Great Location | Lively Social Spaces | Swimming Pool”
+• Location: Darwin city-centre; 10+ minute walk to main bus interchange; 5+ minute walk to parks. Coles supermarket opposite the hostel. There was a Thai eatery opposite, which had the best-value meals in Darwin (ie. AUD 11 - 12 for Asian cuisine ) • Lively atmosphere in the social areas of the hostel • AIr-conditioning unit inside the room. • Kitchen was a hive of cooking activity, and easy place to have a chat with others • Spacious social spaces, with dining tables • WiFi speeds were decent. • There is a swimming pool to relax and swim in. • The staff there, really try to make the place run smoothly, eg. cleaners, night-staff, security, etc.
−I am a calm person and have had a lot of experience staying in hostels, but the way the situation was handled, left me somewhat disappointed. What happened was, one morning while I was out, the cleaning staff had cleared my bed and recorded in their system that I had checked-out of the hostel, even though I was still staying there. I returned in the afternoon, to find a piece of food item missing from my bed, and all bed-sheets/blankets/towels were gone. I reported this at the front reception, but at that same time, there was a whole bunch of people waiting to be served, because the other staff had clocked off, leaving only 1 girl at the reception to handle the afternoon check-ins, disputes, queries, bookings, etc. It took almost 1+ hour for my situation to be sorted, ie. I was given a different room altogether, after 'my bed' was given to someone else. Then, I had to move all my luggage between floors to get to the new room. It was just the manner it was handled, and when I mentioned that my towel was also taken, I was reminded: towels cost X-dollars. I mentioned, that I waited patiently to be served, and it wasn't even her fault, but sinceI was inconvenienced by the whole episode

“Noisy stay in Darwin”
+The location is quite central. The room we had (not dormitory) was big with private bathroom. Close to grocery shops and bus stops.
−Very noisy room with the ventilation going on non stop. The room was damp. The bar upstairs has very loud music at the weekend, fortunatly for us it stopped at 11pm on the Sunday night. The kitchen is spacious but lacks material.
