“Mixed feelings”
+We didn't sleep in Modus Aquae, but Modus Vivenda. The location of Modus Vivdnda (in the centre of the town of Brisighella) . The room was nice and quiet.
−Just after the booking we were called that the Modus Aquae was overbooked, which was strange as we booked on the day of arrival. We would sleep in sister hotel Modus Vivendi, which should have a spa as well according to Booking.com. However the spa appeared to be under construction at arrival. In the spa of Modus Aquae there was basically no availability when we asked. And it appeared to be a (expensive) paid service anyway, so we decided to forget about the spa. Only when we called to ask about breakfast (which was included)we were told that breakfast was served in the other hotel Modus Aquae, which was a 20 minute walk out of town. Because we had a train to catch, that was impossible for us. No alternative was offered. We were not pleased that all these consequences of involuntary be put in another hotel because of an overbooking (which was probably intentional just to rent out an extra room) were not shared with us, so we would have at least the opportunity to decide to go to another hotel.
