“Filthy room with an unbearable mold smell, refusal to refund, and a false no-show report.”
+Unfortunately, I cannot say anything positive about my experience. The condition of the room and the way the management handled the situation were extremely disappointing.
−Upon arrival, I found the room in absolutely unacceptable condition. There was an unbearable smell of mold and dampness in both the bathroom and the bedroom, making it almost impossible to stay inside. The floor was dirty and sticky, and there was hair on the bed. The overall cleanliness and hygiene were terrible. I immediately reported these issues to the hotel staff. They advised me to request a cancellation through Booking.com and contact customer support, which I did. However, the hotel refused to refund my payment and subsequently marked my reservation as a no-show, despite the fact that I had arrived, entered the room, and reported the problems. The management even confirmed my arrival in writing afterward. As a result, I was left without the accommodation I had paid for and without a refund. I had to urgently find another hotel at my own expense. I am extremely disappointed not only with the unacceptable condition of the room but also with the way the management handled the situation.

“Nice stay”

+Room was big and clean. Location was perfect close to the centre bus quite and cozy. Staff were friendly.
−Breakfast was cheap. The only thing we didn’t like about our stay there was breakfast.

“Great location but could make simple improvements to be better.”
+This is very well located small hotel above a restaurant. Its location is ideal for the various mosques. The room was reasonable for the money. It's great to have a fridge in the room and the air conditioning worked well.
−Some small and low cost improvements could lift the hotel from OK to good. The shower holder in the room was broken and the pipe was frayed. It would cost very little to fix this. There is one power outlet by the fridge/kettle/desk, so you had to make a choice. It would have been better if the fridge was connected and cold on arrival. There was a multi-gang socket powering the TV/receiver. I moved this to the fridge area as I knew I would also need to power my phone at night as well. I therefore couldn't also have the TV on. Hotel, provide a small multi-socket outlet by the fridge. I left at 8am and advised them the night before, there was no offer to provide any early/take-away breakfast.

“Modena Hotel was the best decision ever”
+It's second time sleeping in this hotel. Everything was perfect! It’s not a luxurious or fancy hotel (at this price range, what do you expect?), but it’s clean and you get everything you need (clean towels, very good Wi-Fi, comfortable beds). If you’re planning to visit Istanbul, you don’t need to spend a lot on accommodation if you’ll be out exploring all day. Of course, the location is great, you can visit many attractions just by walking. The restaurant is good (the food is delicious, the rooftop view is AMAZING, and they also have great shisha). All in all, everything was really good. The staff of the restaurant were incredibly friendly, very professional and extremely polite. We’ll return to Modena Hotel every time we travel to Istanbul.

+Location and breakfast are good.
−The fire alarm kept going off in the middle of the night with no one handling it. It happened repeatedly, making it impossible to sleep. I complained the next day, but nobody cared,very disappointing.

“Ein absolut perfekter Aufenthalt mit herausragendem Personal, tollem Frühstück und unschlagbarer Lage mitten in Istanbul”
+Die Lage des Hotels ist absolut perfekt! Es liegt mitten im Herzen von Sultanahmet, sodass man als Tourist die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten von Istanbul in nur 5 bis 7 Minuten bequem zu Fuß erreichen kann. Auch die Straßenbahnstation ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt, was die Fortbewegung in der Stadt super einfach macht. In der direkten Umgebung findet man alles, was man braucht. Für diesen Preis bietet das Hotel eine unschlagbare Lage. Das Personal war zudem ausgesprochen herzlich, hilfsbereit und nett. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt einfach rundum perfekt und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top!

“Csalódás”
+Sétatávolságra volt az óváros minden fontos nevezetessége. Hazafelé a reptérre igenybe vettük a szálloda taxi szolgáltatását. Egy nagyon kedves fiatalember intézte. Pontos es korrekt volt a taxi.
−Kopott szék és ágyak. A matrac nagyon kemény volt. Dohos szag volt a szobában. A fürdőszobában meg még dohosabb szag volt. Pont a nagy eső idején voltunk ott, a csukott ablakon befolyt a víz. Túl nagy segítseget nem kaptunk. A törölközőkkel fogtuk fel a vizet. Nem kaptunk másik törölközőt. Semmi akasztó nincs a szobában, ahová a ruháinkat felakaszthattunk volna. Ez nagyon kellemetlen volt, mert előtte a viharban nagyon megáztunk es vizesek voltak a ruháink.
