“Its worth the money.”

−Steep stairs. It takes all energy to climb the stairs. Also fire alarm went on at 2:36am ruined our sleep.

“Pleasant and value for money in an ideal location”
+Get what you pay for. So may bad reviews on this property but while I did find the stairs steep your given warning of this the property was clean room actually smelt clean don't always get that in hotels. The place was old and rustic had a charm to it but don't go expecting hotel standards it isn't realistic

−Grim!! (Room 4) Extremely uncomfortable mattress - huge dents, could feel springs and wooden bottom. Room felt very grim - very old furnishings, torn and worn, holes in the walls, old electric radiator that didn't work but also looked ancient and dangerous Very noisy night - single-pane window onto a very busy street Dark staircase - lights didn't work - dangerous The bathroom smelt, the sink didn't drain, the shower door didn't close properly Overall we really didn't like being in the hotel and we immediately regretted it wanted to leave! We've stayed in lots of budget hotels across the world, this was the worst! Avoid wasting your money. Pay for better digs.

“Good value for money for an excellent central location”
+Excellent location, but despite this the room was still quiet & comfortable.

“I didn’t believe in perfection until I stayed here”
+The post modern approach to checking in in the gyros place downstairs was so refreshing compared to the hotel lobbies I’m used to. The haunted mansion feeling kept me on my toes and gave me a sense of excitement whenever I spent time in the room. I thought I saw a ghost but it was just a curry stain left from someone spilling their chips on the floor. Overall a must see in Cardiff. Excellent access to chippy lane.

“Good value for money for a base, clean but not well maintained”
+Very large spacious room, double bed and a single and still loads of space. Very clean bathroom. Location great for Cardiff Central Station, shopping and several venues for concerts. Food in Gyros shop underneath really good too, and great value for money
−Windows could do with being double glazed, could hear everything from outside. Maybe a lick of paint as lots of bits missing. Double bed was very hard, not comfy at all. And the lights on the very steep stairs need to be programmed to come on earlier, not much use when youre halfway up/down!!

+The location is great, and staff is friendly and responsive, the place is clean.
−The furniture is damaged as well as the carpets on the floor which gives the place an outdated and maybe unclean look which is not!
