“Good location and a fine place to stay but probably not everyone’s cup of tea.”
+Staff was nice, rooms were clean and let’s say charming. Mimi has excellent food and the breakfast was great. The location is awesome (although no views from most of the property). Ravello is a difficult place to find affordable accommodations so we did not hold that against the property which was on the more affordable end when compared to others.
−Staff would often take smoke breaks right outside our room. With a baby, this was quite an annoyance and essentially made sitting on the nice outdoor patio space not an option. We understand smoking culture is a bit different in Europe, but we don’t think smoking by guest rooms with children and babies is appropriate. We only stayed a few nights so didn’t bother asking them to stop. The rooms are split on two different sides of the property. You cannot access one side from the other. We travelled with our extended family and booked 3 rooms. Two were on one side and one was on the other, which made coordination and things like babysitting with grandparents unnecessarily difficult. Potential bookers should also know that the rooms are essentially either in the outdoor eating area on one side or the private terrace (which you should expect to hold loud events) on the other, which is also where the staff lockers are kept. This did not bother us, but the noise and lack of perceived privacy could be an annoyance for others. Just a note in case you don’t realize when reviewing the listing that the rooms do not include some things that you may be accustomed to, including kettle/coffee make

“The worst place we ever been”

−High ratings, but a very different reality , I do not recommend this place We booked Mimì B&B largely because of its excellent rating and the beautiful photographs shown online. After completing our stay, our experience was very different from what the overall score had led us to expect. After everything we experienced during our stay, I do not recommend Mimì B&B. Extremely difficult access I was traveling with my 70-year-old mother. The most direct route between central Ravello and the property involves a very long and steep series of stairs. With luggage, reaching the accommodation was extremely difficult for her. There is another route from the opposite side, but it is considerably longer and still involves a significant uphill walk. And to be clear: our complaint is not simply that “Ravello has hills.” We spent our days walking extensively throughout Ravello, including visiting places in elevated parts of town, without this being an issue. The access to this particular property was considerably more challenging than we had understood before booking. Had I fully understood the actual access conditions beforehand, especially while traveling with my 70-year-old mother and luggage,

−De communicatie verliep bijzonder stroef, verkeerde kamer, ontbijt was later dan online vermeld, geen contact mogelijk met de host. Pas na veel bellen werd ik afgesnauwd.
