“Ants”
−The breakfast was pretty gross; soggy potatoes and slimy eggs. The other offerings were fine. The bigger issue was that my initial room was infested with ants. Not a few, but like TONS. They seemed localized on the desk (I think they were living in the lamp) but by the time I discovered this I had been gone for several hours and they were all over and INSIDE my electronics. 🤬🤮 To their credit, the second room did not have this problem. It's also a maze, which isn't helped by the fact that the main elevator is down. Morning desk service was nice, but the night gentleman gave me the wrong key and forgot my breakfast ticket when I checked in. This place has the potential to be better, but they def have some maintenance issues to be seen to.

“Frustration”
+I thought I got stung by a mosquito but over last couple of days the bumps got bigger. I stayed in room 394 it needs to be checked for spiders bed bugs or other insects.

“Not happy with my reservation”
+I like the location, the facilities were amazing.
−I didn't like the fact that I was there for my 35th anniversary with my wife and reserved a room 2 months in advance for a king size bed. When we got there, I was told the only thing they had was two queens. Now if I'm not mistaken a reservation means they hold that room for you for that date. It started my entire weekend with my wife off on the wrong foot. I was not happy and if the word anniversary means anything to anybody you would understand why I did not want two queen size beds.

“This hotel let's in the wrong kind of customers”
+Not much.
−The staff was rude at check in. The room we received just happened to be next door to a couple that was sharing their sexual experience and their music at different times. It was very disgusting. I tried calling the front desk and no one would answer. I had to get dressed and go to the front desk at 1am. I found a security guard there and let them know about the loud noises. I'm not sure what the security guard did, but the music stopped. The problem was then the sexual antics started up again. It went on until about 6am when the next thing we heard very clearly was the women got herself locked out and was beating on the door while yelling for whomever was still in the room for about 30 minutes. This was a horrible experience. I don't know what kind of hotel they are running, but it seems like they are letting in the wrong sort of customers. Another issue was trying to get a hair dryer when I realize there wasn't one in our room. I called the front desk and they said they didn't have them if it wasn't in the room. I went to housekeeper in the hallway and she said the same thing. I looked behind her in the room she was serving and seen a bag that looked like a blow dryer bag, I aske

“Worth the money and definitely one of the better not super expensive hotels in Durham.”
+Absolutely some of the best hotel staff I have ever dealt with. From the housekeepers to the men and women at the front desk to security, all phenomenal. Pool was a perfect temp and clean, and the hot tub was hot and clean. Second hotel room was very clean . (No cockroaches like other hotels in Durham) first room had some mold around the light switch in the bathroom. But other than that I am very pleased. And again I cannot say enough good things about the hotel staff. 💯 amazing staff
