“Rustic lodgings on the pacific coast”
+Beautiful lication right on the beach. A relaxed alternative to staying in Quepos or Manuel Antonio. Easy to get to. Basic and rustic but exudes a certain charm
−Difficult to store food away from bugs and ants. Solar powered so no refrigerator but a chill box would come in handy as there are places selling ice nearby. The place is in need of a little maintenance but Miguel is in the process of remodeling 😅

“Good for one day if you are with friends or family. Don’t rely on host for anything.”
+Everything from the rooms and kitchen and bathroom was as on the pictures. Clean. Beds are comfortable. Feeling of nature all around.
−The wifi is on / off constantly. In the evening, Miguel switches it off until he wakes up in morning. Same is with electricity so you can’t charge your devices during the night or use internet after around 19:00 to about 8:00. Kitchen is poor. The pots are in an extremely bad shape so they are not even safe to use (scratched teflon, burned…). You cant store your food safety, the ants or dogs eat it. Miguel is not at your disposal. He makes it perfectly clear to you upon the arrival that he is a businessman and not a personal driver, guide or anyone there to help. You are not allowed to disturb him while he is there doing his crafts, he will not advise you nor help you to get around. He charges the surf lesson 60$ per hour, has a bad temper and quits after few minutes, leaving you like a dog. He rents surfs 30$, in Uvita beach for example the rent is 15 $. He will take food from you, but is not willing to share his own. If you are a female travelling alone, I absolutely discourage you to even consider about visiting the place.

“Incredible stay near manuel antionio!!!”
+Wow, wow, wow!! An incredible stay with an amazing location! Miguel was so so kind, went above and beyond for his guests. He built the place himself and lovingly maintains it every day! Such a gorgeous stay near manuel antonio. The incredible beachfront location and eco-conscious nature of the surf camp means it is closer to camping than a hotel. There is running water, but very limited electricity. However, everything was clean, well maintained, and beautiful. Bring a portable charger, and enjoy the proximity to the beach knowing you are make a great choice to lower your environmental impact as a tourist.

“Dificil acceso, muy caro para lo poco que ofrece”
+La onda relajada esta bien en especial porque está en la playa
−Dificil de llegar, solo con 4x4 y buscando. Las instalaciones son muy rústicas y descuidadas y está bien solo si el precio fuese acorde. Muy muy caro para lo poco que ofrece. WiFi malo.

+Wat hebben we genoten van dit verblijf. Miguel, zijn vrouw en zoon zijn ongelooflijk warme, goeie, vriendelijke inspirerende mensen. Miguel is ook een interessante man om mee te praten. De plaats is prachtig en heerlijk gelegen aan de zee met een grote en mooie tuin. De hutjes om te slapen zijn heel basic, maar dat is net wat het mooi en charmant maakt. We hebben ook genoten van het dorpje el cocal en het dagelijkse leven op het schiereiland. Steun de locale bevolking en ga iets eten in het locale restaurantje of koop wat zaken in de kleine winkeltjes. Breng zeker ook een bezoek aan het turtle relaese program van milo en vraag of je 's avonds mee kan op patrol om de grote schildpadden eieren te zien leggen. We hebben erg genoten van de dagen bij miguel op het schiereiland en raden het absoluut aan.

“Alojamiento sencillo frente a playa paradisíaca”
+La ubicación en la playa es espectacular y los dueños son muy amables y atentos. Tuve un problema con la conexión y me ayudaron enseguida.
−Las instalaciones podrían mejorarse y no hay mucha privacidad.

+Ligging aan het strand. Het concept duurzaam.
−Er mag wel het eea verbeterd worden. Het is toe aan een opknapbeurt. Ook gerecycled materiaal heeft onderhoud nodig. Kan echt wel beter. We betalen er ook voor.
