“Cosy place with a great location”
+Location was great. Close to train stations and shops.

−The steep stairs are a challenge but that’s Japan for you. We would still choose to stay here if we came back for a visit.

+The property is conveniently located near the train station. It is equipped with basic amenities such as a kitchen, kettle, and plates which were sufficient for our needs. The bed was comfortable and accommodated all five of us well.
−There were a few aspects that could be improved. We experienced several power outages, especially when using the kettle. The kitchen appliances took quite a long time to heat food. The stairs are very steep and the bathroom is quite small which may be challenging for families with young children. The air-condition heater was not very effective and the house felt quite cold. Overall, the property feels small and a bit dated. The door lock required manual adjustment both from inside and outside and responses via WhatsApp were slower than expected.

“Waste of time and money. Terrible emergency response from staff. Apartment unsafe.”
+Nothing, since we did not stay there. They refused to refund us, but we did not wish to stay in an unsafe apartment.
−Main door could not be locked. Staff was slow in response (this was an emergency), not proactive, does not seem to understand the problem and is unhelpful. Apparently, the electronic door had been malfunctioning but we were not told that till much later. We asked for help at 7:30pm. After doing all they told us to do, via Booking.com messaging, we still could not lock it. At 8pm, we gave up and told them we had to just leave the apartment which is unsafe to stay in. At 8:30pm, they replied with a Whatsapp number to send recording of the malfunction to (that was in response to our request. They did not proactively ask for a recording). By that time we were on our way to an alternative apartment and to settle our dinner. However, we sent them our recording at 9:38pm via the Whatapp number given. Finally, at 10:12pm (although the Whatsapp screenshot reflected it at 9:12pm. Timestamps in the Whatsapp screenshot are 1 hour earlier instead of in Japan time), they admitted that the door had been malfunctioning, and sent us an instruction video, which is a workaround to lock the malfunctioning electronic door. We found the solution unreliable, and unsafe, and the staff too unresponsive and

“Quirky place with tons of sleeping space”
+The place is very unique. It has 2 sets of bunk beds and a large bed that sleeps 2, so very easy to sleep 6 adults or even more if it's kids in the mix. Plenty of space to sleep. Not much space to hang out. But it's perfect for a family trip and very convenient location to ueno area. Our family of 5 had plenty of room to sleep. It was very clean and lots of towels and sheets.
−Stairs are steep, so be cautious.

“遊び心満載”
+子供多数でしたが、スーファミがあり盛り上がりました😊狭小であり、不思議な構造であり、子供心くすぐる感じ。秘密基地感ありでした。屋上で風を感じることもできて良かったです。事前質問やキーの開け方説明など、メールで丁寧に答えてくれました。
−狭小のため階段はかなり急勾配。年配者や、乳幼児がいる家庭には不向きかも。

“家族、小グループに最適。”
+駅から本当に近くて、食事処、コンビニ、銭湯と近場に揃っていて立地条件最高でした。 友達6人(子ども1人)で泊まりましたが、上下階で扉で区切られているので、早く寝る組と遅い組とで部屋を分けることが出来て良かったです。 いい感じに階段やドアで仕切られていて、 ひとしきりここは？って開けて探検して楽しめました。 解錠の仕方が分からず問い合わせした際も、早く丁寧にご連絡頂き安心できました。
−部屋の間取りが小さい為、多少圧迫感があるのと、皆で食卓を囲んでゆっくりとは出来ない感じだったので、食事は外で取ることにしました。 ちょっと集まって話し出来るスペースはあるので、その点のみ対応したら後は最適でした。
