“Great location but not the facilities”
+The location is exceptional, very close to key areas of Singapore
−1. KITCHEN / STUDY AREA: The kitchen/study area is extremely small. Just two people are enough to occupy the entire space, making it unsuitable for consider this area a decent space to accomodate guests, even for a short break. On top of that, having the washbasin right next to the eating area means having to deal with people spitting nearby while eating breakfast. This is both unpleasant and unhygienic. The layout or something needs to be reconsidered, as this space should not be advertised as a proper kitchen/study area in its current condition. 2. UPPER BUNK BED: The steps leading to the upper bunk are far too small and dangerous, especially when climbing down. This is an obvious safety hazard that could easily cause an accident. It needs to be addressed urgently. 3. BATHROOMS: The bathrooms need significantly more attention. The cleaning and maintenance are not up to standard, and proper, regular cleaning should be a basic requirement, not an optional extra. 4. NO-SHOES POLICY: There is a “NO SHOES” sign at the entrance, yet I repeatedly saw cleaners and external contractors entering with their shoes on. Is this rule only for guests? +How convenient to everything it is, that's a bonus. The price was decent, too, and the blackout blinds on the bunks is amazing! Nice staff.
−That people do not keep the volume down even after the time it is said on the walls. Being in room #9 on the second floor, you hear everything through the walls. Minimal cooking facilities (microwave and toaster, but I think this may just be a cultural thing that I am not used to). The stairs - with a heavy suitcase - not ideal.

+The staff are friendly and welcoming. The hostel is generally neat and comfortable. It's worth the money. When I next come to Singapore, I will choose Meadows Hostel again n again...I miss kaka Lina & kaka Deborah 😆
