“Misrepresented Accommodation and Appalling Customer Service”
+I did not stay there.
−Our experience with this property was absolutely unacceptable from start to finish. We booked accommodation through Booking.com that was advertised as having three bedrooms, but we were given only two. This was a significant misrepresentation of what we had paid for. We arrived at 5:00 p.m., 1 hr after check-in time, only to find the cleaner still working and the property in a state of disarray, with mess everywhere. The condition of the accommodation was disgusting and nowhere near what we reasonably expected from a paid booking. We were three women who had booked this property expecting suitable, clean accommodation. Instead, we were faced with a place that was completely unacceptable to stay in. We ultimately had no choice but to book a room at a Sheraton hotel at additional expense. What followed was nearly two weeks of exhausting, deeply frustrating dealings with Booking.com customer service. I called approximately six to eight times, endured repeated disconnections and waits of up to 30 minutes on hold, and was passed back and forth without a satisfactory resolution. I was repeatedly led to believe that a refund would be issued, only to discover that no credit had been applie

+When I got to leave
−I absolutely hated my stay here, the manager or landlord did not give me the code to get in the house we argued over the phone, he unlocked someone elses room instead than when I left someone else was in mine! He should be ashamed of himself, the windows were also left open with no mesh to protect it...I am calling the better business bureau and mcmaster university for this atrocity of a stay!

+The owner here is very friendly. Made me feel like home. Check-in was very smooth and prompt. It was very relaxing stay between my two workdays in the area.

“Spider infested room”
+Location is good
−Spider infested, cobwebs on the walls. I arrived less than an hour ago and there are spiders crawling on the walls. A big red one on the desk! Yikes.. I’m desperate otherwise I’d sleep in my car. Thin walls, guy next door is talking , it’s past midnight and I can hear everything. Praying I can last through the night.

+The bed was comfortable.
−Lots of hair on the floor in my bedroom. The kitchen counters were very dirty. Lots of dirty dishes in the sink that had not been cleaned in awhile. I saw mold growing in some of the dishes in the sink. I needed a spoon but my better judgment told me not to touch anything.

+The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating.
−There was people arguing outside our room at 4am and things sounded getting violent outside, making our sleep somewhat uncomfortable.
