“Pleasant accommodation in a good location”
+Pleasant room, with nice access to shared facilities including full kitchen, living room and dining room. Good location, close to lovely pub, shops and fantastic park and only a short walk to the railway station and town centre.

“Fine for the price, convenient location”
+The host was helpful and responsive. We appreciated her letting us check out one hour later. The location was convenient and the price was reasonable.
−It was not explicit enough in the listing that we were only renting a single bedroom (with a double bed and a futon) and that the remainder of the property (including the kitchen, lounge and single bathroom) is intended to be shared with strangers who could be staying in the other bedrooms. For example, although there is a reference to a "shared bathroom" on booking.com, the website also says "each room includes a bath, shower and free toiletries." So we assumed we would have an ensuite bath/shower area and additionally there would be a shared bathroom elsewhere. This is not correct; there is only a single bathroom which all guests at the house share. The bathroom has been renovated and looks very nice. However the rest of the property is tired and dusty. There was rubbish in the garden (empty plastic bottles, painting equipment etc). There were a lot of cobwebs on the walls and in the corners and we removed a couple of spiders. The corrugated plastic conservatory roof leaked after it rained. The house just feels like it needs a bit more attention. Nevertheless it worked fine for us and for what we needed so thank you to the host.

“Comfy room”
+Spacious room with shared bathroom (both nice and refurbished) and a very helpful host. Despite being close to a busy road, one barely hears the traffic due to the good windows. Overall a very comfy stay.
