+Extremely beautiful and relaxing hotel. Especially after a trip through the big cities it offers a nice relaxation. The area itself is pretty remote, but with the offered Shuttlebus of the hotel, this is no real problem.

“We loved staying here. Wonderful staff, food, and property.”
+We loved our stay here. The staff was amazing! So kind to us and our child. Very accommodating. We had breakfast and dinner in the rooms, which is so much easier with a child and they adjusted the meals for our child based on his liking. We got in room massages, which were very nice. They also had toys and games in the lobby for our son to play with. Bonus, which we didn't know before staying is there is an exception park about a 10-minute walk away where you can rent bicycles, race car, train rides, and mini boats. Such a great place to walk to and enjoy with a child. Our son loved the train and bicycle ride. One of the staff members even drew a Totoro picture for my son, which we will all treasure from this trip. We will stay here again when we come back to Japan.

“The most magical stay close to Kanazawa”
+This was the most magical part of our stay in Japan this year. I have visited several onsen ryokans but this one was probably the best. It had old school charm but the gardens, the rooms, the food were all absolutely incredible. The rooms were beautifully redecorated, and the Keiseki dinner and breakfasts were some of the best we've ever had. We stayed for 4 nights and each night it was completely different and equally delicious! Lastly the staff were exceptional - they went above and beyond for us! We had this one girl from Nepal who looked after us for our whole stay and she was just incredible and so kind. We went for walks during the day, had a massage and facial on site, read our books in the gorgeous lobby looking out over the gardens and took many hot spring baths - it was just bliss! Can't wait to go back!

+Staff was excellent. They even went ahead and took car for us when we got stuck in town close by. So kind and attending. All around it was excellent Japanese experience of ryokan we could wish for.

+The staff at Matsusaki are top notch. They were incredibly kind and hospitable. The meals were incredible and the onsens beautiful and relaxing. The traditional rooms were also really lovely. A relaxing and immersive experience overall.
−I only wish I could have stayed longer and maybe had a little more instruction on how to put on the yukata.

+The room was really large and nice, and the hot tubs were the best part of it. Also the classic Japanese dinner and breakfast are a must to try.
