“Creepy - did not sleep as the interactions with the owner had made me feel so uncomfortable”
+Location was very good - once we managed to find it
−Owner was rude and agressive. Signage did not match the name of the booking, when I enquired if there were other guests staying in what turned out to be a B&B the owner became nasty and mocking

+From the start, Roberto’s welcome was so friendly and he was very helpful. The location of Matisse is a lovely neighbourhood with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. It is a short walking distance to many iconic sites like Santa Maria Maggiore, Trevi fountain, Colosseum, and slightly longer walking distance to Pantheon, P. Navona etc. it is only 10 min walk to termini train station which was ideal for our day trips outside of Rome.

“It was a pleasant stay all together.”
+The property was clean. There was coffee, water and snacks at the front desk all the time. It was a 10 minute walk to the Basilica of Mary Major. It was a 15 minute walk from/to Termini station. There was plenty of hot water. And, the manager/owner Roberto was kind. Public transport (bus) was a 5 minutes walk.
−The location was a bit far from the places we wanted to go to. At least 20 - 40 minute walk. No amenities ( tv, microwave ).

−Rusty toilet, shower door need repair, no iron / refrigerator/ coffee maker in the room. Instant coffee in common area. No usb ports.

“Absolutely great stay. Will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.”
+The location is excellent, couldn't have been better. Very comfortable bed and the place was spotless. The host Toni was lovely, great personality and very, very helpful. He advised us on a great restaurant, gave directions to places we wanted to go and arranged our pick up from the premises at 7am for the airport. No TVs in the rooms, which was great. Very quiet for the location. Absolutely great sleep.
−The breakfast was just croissants and tea/coffee which you made in a small common area and took back to your room. Just a small suggestion...a microwave and/or toaster would make a huge difference, as visitors could purchase from the nearby supermarket and have a breakfast before venturing out. It works out quite expensive if you're out buying breakfast every day. The only other thing I would say is that the instructions on how to get into the premises could be a little clearer.
