“Cosy room, but noisy construction, lack of privacy and disappointing dining”
+The styling of the room is very well thought out, creating a cosy, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The design feels intentional, with a nice balance of style and comfort, making it a lovely place to relax during our stay.
−Unfortunately, several aspects of our stay fell short of expectations based on how the property was advertised. The room was advertised with an ocean view, including from the spa, but black shade cloth had been installed to block the neighbouring construction site, obstructing the expected view. Construction was also disruptive: the open-air bathroom exposed the shower and toilet area to workers view. We were woken by chainsaws operating about 20 metres from the villa, as well as a cement mixer and loud conversations. The spa appeared poorly maintained, with yellowish, unpleasant-smelling water that raised concerns about its cleanliness and treatment. People on the pathway behind the room could see into the spa area compromising privacy. Dinner was also disappointing: the tomahawk steak was undercooked and excessively fatty, making it difficult to enjoy. Although the room was cosy and thoughtfully styled, the obstructed view, lack of privacy, construction noise, spa condition and disappointing meal significantly detracted from our experience.

“Perfect remote getaway in the hills of Amed with amazing staff and service”
+Everything about this hotel is amazing. Great rooms with amazing views, a lovely pool area, super tasty food, great service and incredible staff. The hilly area is something to take in mind, but it comes with the right perks. Would love to come again.
−The birds eye pictures could have an update with the new constructions in the area.

“A must for your trip to Bali!”
+The design around the hill and incorporation of nature was just jaw dropping. Worth the travel to Amed. The staff were so kind and it felt quite traditional and Balinese. We travelled around in buggy's due to the steep hill which was fun. The room and the hand written greeting for our anniversary was such a kind touch. The wooden hut and out door living room felt like such a calming experience. The breakfast was out of this world and we had amazing choices. The food was amazing at the restaurant. The pool was amazing with the view of the beautiful foliage and the sea in the distance. You can spot a lot of Balinese wildlife and they give you a pictured guide sign to let you know what you can spot. We were able to book all our excursions through the hotel. We went to see mount Agung and snorkel with sea turtles- we saw one but that was still special. The spa was one of the best massage experiences of my life! Highly recommend making your way from the south to visit the amazing hillside hotel that gives you access to the sea as well.
−The bathroom was a little more exposed to the elements than expected. You get used to it Other than that, no complaints other than I wish we stayed longer.
