+Spacious, stylish, beautiful room in a peaceful location. The host was very friendly, and explained everything I needed to know about the house. The shared spaces - lounge area and kitchen - were also welcoming and well-equipped.
−Train services to/from the nearest station were sparse, so it required careful planning to travel to Ichinoseki, Hiraizumi, and the gorges.

“Enjoyed my 2 nights, memorable.”
+The tatami was one of the more comfortable ones ive slept on. Rooms and house was cool and had a great atmosphere.
−Inconvinient without a car but doable. Walls between rooms where paper thin, would be nice to have some sort of sound proofing or curtain.

“Such a lovely, authentique place”
+Everything! It was perfect, a beautiful ryokan held by a very nice man. The beds (futons) were so comfortable and fluffy. Big rooms, lots of space, air conditioning and heating available. We could use the kitchen to prepare our meal. All the paintings and decoration looks so nice !

+Kikuchi-San was a very nice host. The accommodation is very clean. We have a good sleep and nice stop over at Ichinoseki. Thank you for your hospitality.
−Nothing really, the next door is quite close and you will need to share facilities with other guests

“Thank you Matakitai! また来たい‼︎”
+The best word to describe the place is cozy. It’s a quaint little inn 7 minutes away from the station, with unique vintage decor blended with Japanese culture. The staff was a really nice man who tolerated me and my friends’ shenanigans on New Year’s Day. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a Japanese style room with futons provided. We went during winter time so it was a bit cold, but there were plenty of heaters to keep us as warm as possible. Overall, me and my friends really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back sometime!

“Traditional Japanese Style, Hostel-Style Comfort”
+The owner mentioned that this type of house is quite common in the area, but to me it felt like a wonderful example of a traditional Japanese home. The space was open and calming, making it easy to unwind and feel at ease.
−I didn’t have any negative experiences, but it’s not a full-service ryokan. It’s more like a hostel, with some self-service elements such as making your own bed, so it’s good to be aware of that.

+מדובר בבחור באמצע החיים שלקח את הבית הישן הזה והפך אותו לבית הארחה פופלארי וגם ביתו בחלק נפרד. בשתי הלילות שהייתי שם היו עוד אורחים מה שמצבחיע שהמקום פופלארי. המחיר היה טוב ביחס לתמורה. המקום כמי שמשתמש בתחבורה ציבורית היה מנצח! חדר הרחצה נח ונקי. חדר השינה גדול ומסורתי. המטבח נקי ונח לשימוש. (לא בישלתי של אבל אכלתי מוזלי לדוגמא שהבאתי- יש כלים וכו'). סה"כ בחירה טובה. זה כמובן לא מלון מפנק והתנאים משותפים. זה בית די ישן שהוא רכש או קיבל בירושה. אני מודה לו מאד על כך שאפשר לי להשתמש במכונת הכביסה שלו וללא תשלום!! איזור יפה ןמעניין לטיול!

+Casa accogliente, posizione strategica soprattutto se ci si muove con auto a noleggio come abbiamo fatto noi. Host disponibile e gentile :)
−Tenere conto che le pareti delle stanze sono sottili (di carta, tradizionali), la mattina siamo stati svegliati alle 6 da due ospiti che uscivano presto. Purtroppo dipende da chi si trova a soggiornare con voi.
