“A very special place”
+The entire experience excellent. It is a long journey to the hotel but completely worth it. The staff were brilliant and nothing was too much. Our guides were courteous, helpful and very engaging. As were the staff in the restaurant. A experience not to be forgotten.
−Nothing.

“Would go back there in a heartbeat”
+Loved absolutely everything about Mashpi Lodge. From the moment they picked me up in Quito to the time I was dropped off, I felt genuinely cared for and completely looked after. What really stood out was how seamless and personalized the whole experience felt. There are so many guided activities and nature experiences (hikes, wildlife viewing, canopy adventures, and more), and everything was incredibly well organized and thoughtfully coordinated. The rooms are comfortable, the food is delicious, and the staff is truly exceptional, warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making your stay unforgettable. Mashpi isn’t just a hotel; it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
−I can not think of anything that needs improvement.

“Exceptional”
+Wonderful staff, environment, hotel facilities and the work the staff is doing on conservation.
−There are several opportunities to hike and do physical fitness but would be nice if it had a gym. However it would not deter me from staying at the hotel.

“Hard to top.”
+This unique property is absolutely amazing. The facilities were all top notch and the staff was super friendly and so helpful. It is a 3 hr drive from Quito with the last part being bumpy roads so I would not recommend driving yourself but the place is well worth the drive. Such a fantastic life experience being in the middle of a 7000 acre rain forest all to yourself and a select few other guests.
−Bumpy road getting there but I guess that is part of the charm. Feels like Jurassic Park
