“Unpleasant. Wished I'd paid the extra €50 and stayed at a hotel.”
+The location was great.
−The noise from the street - the windows in the room were so bad I was convinced they were open. Someone walking down the street was really clear... and at 3am, when you're trying to sleep, it's just beyond irritating. There was a nightclub nearby as well, but when it closed, you'd think that sleep would come - but no. There was zero sound-proofing in the room and the windows may as well have been open. There was mould everywhere in the bathroom as well, and the room smelt musty and the sheets felt damp. There were also bags of laundry and rubbish blocking the bottom of the stairs - they were there when we arrived on Saturday afternoon and when we left on Sunday morning. Also, none of the lockboxes were labelled - so it was a guess as to which one matched the room. The carpet on the stairs was wet and stained. There's a reason it's so cheap - and for the extra €50 you'd spend for a proper hotel room - it'd be well worth it - at least you're in with a chance of sleep.

“Not worth it.”
+Local to Latin quarter and eyre Square.
−Very noisy from a night club just across the street. Front outer door would not lock. Made you feel unsafe. We had some visitors late one night banging on our door. Curtains falling down. Carpets needs cleaning/hoovering. Bathroom mould around window and in shower. Had to close the curtain when using toilet or shower. Needs frosted glass for privacy. Bathroom floor not finished near door. Unclean Shower, sink, toilet brush (rusted). Handles on cupboards broken. Kitchenette is shared this is not clear in the accommodation description. I would never recommend this property. Not value for money. Letting agents never answer messages, once they have your money. 2 girls arrived day before we left. They had booked from Saturday but we didn't leave until sunday. Don't stay here.

+Everything! Fun location & the room and all of its clever design ideas made for a cosy stay. It was compact but not cramped or uncomfortable. It was absolutely lovely. It was a bit loud checking in but we couldn't hear a thing from our room. The staff were very kind and hospitable. We'll for sure stay there again on a sneaky night away to Dublin.

“Perfect for our needs and the price”
+Brilliant location. Basic and small, but clean and comfortable, exactly what I expected for the price. I’d definitely stay again.
−Host didn’t reply to messages requesting info about whether there was a place to put luggage if my husband and I arrived earlier than the 3pm check-in time. The lack of response spurred me to come on here to check at the reviews. I hadn’t paid extra for free cancellation, and in hindsight, I’m glad I hadn’t because if I had, I would have cancelled at that point. We got a later train in case we were stuck with suitcases for hours. It was after 6pm when we arrived so I don’t know if the room was ready at 3pm but all was fine with check-in, and housekeeping staff were there early in the day during our stay so I imagine the rooms are generally ready on time. It wouldn’t suit someone who wants luxury, but for a place to sleep and wash, it was perfect for us. It was noisy at night as it’s quite close to a nightclub, but not enough that it bothered us.

“Basic. Don't expect to be impressed.”
+The bedding was fresh. The shared 'kitchen facility' was dirty and the bin smelled very bad. No forks at all. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear every neighbour;s movements throughout. There was black mould in the bathroom and bedroom. The price is the same as the like of a cheap hotel, but don't expect windows, and basic annemities like a room kettle, cuttlery or cups.
