+Convenient location, short walk from the town centre. Modern, with a reasonably equipped kitchen. Nice social but quiet atmosphere.
−Mattress was comfortable enough, but had a big dip in it and clearly needs replacing, the pillow was really lumpy and uncomfortable. The room wasn’t cleaned in the two days I was there, when I arrived there was hair in the shower and it was still there when I left. The plaster that was on the bedroom floor also remained there until I picked it up myself. The shared toilet in the kitchen was filthy, I walked in when the seat had been left up and it had loads of urine stains and faeces. I’ve been living in hostels for months now, and it’s pretty standard practice to clean communal spaces daily. The owner was quite pushy to get me to send him his number so he could send me the tour info, but I later saw there was QR codes for this everywhere and it was unnecessary for him to have my personal number unless I wanted to give it. I also found he became a lot less attentive once it was apparent I wasn’t booking my excursions through him. It’s a shame, the hostel has a good setup, and small tweaks would make a huge difference. So close, but so far.

+Leider kann ich nach dieser Erfahrung nicht mehr viele positive Aspekte hervorheben. Die Dachterrasse mit ihrer wunderschönen Aussicht ist wirklich toll, und auch der Gemeinschaftsraum ist schön gestaltet. Leider können diese positiven Aspekte den Umgang des Hosts mit Gästen und die von mir geschilderten Erfahrungen nicht ausgleichen
−Achtung!! zusätzliche Kosten und fragwürdige Geschäftspraktiken! Der Preis, der vor Ort verlangt wurde, wich erheblich von dem auf Booking.com angegebenen Preis ab. Letztendlich habe ich fast das Doppelte bezahlt. Begründet wurde der Aufpreis mit Steuern und Wechselkursen. Trotz längerer Diskussionen mit dem Host konnte ich keine zufriedenstellende Klärung erreichen und habe schließlich aufgegeben. Auch die Preise für die angebotenen Touren empfand ich als überteuert. Als ich erwähnte, dass ich Angebote anderer Reiseagenturen eingeholt hatte, wurden mir plötzlich deutlich günstigere Preise angeboten. Dieses Verhalten macht auf mich keinen seriösen Eindruck. Ich habe meine Tour letztendlich bei einem anderen Anbieter gebucht und auch das Hostel gewechselt, weil ich mich mit der Situation zunehmend unwohl fühlte. Bitte passt auf und klärt sämtliche Preise vorab genau ab, damit ihr keine unangenehmen Überraschungen erlebt. Das Frühstück war sehr einfach: Brot, Butter, Marmelade und Bananen. Außerdem wurde das Wasser in der Dusche leider nicht richtig warm.
