+Sheets seemed clean. The traditional style entrances are interesting. That’s about it.
−DO NOT STAY HERE. The positive reviews are a lie, I believe they are for the place next door or something. Dirty, unmaintained building. Onsen was lukewarm and covered in grime, it even felt gross to shower in there. Moss and mold in the ceilings. Cobwebs in the bathrooms. Carpet was sticky. Tatami was beat up. No coffee provided, not even instant. No breakfast, no food options whatsoever (also no food options in the area, you must take a 500 yen bus to get any food). Rude, uncaring front desk customer service. Watched me carry my heavy 2 bags up the stairs without offering to help whatsoever, and kept rushing me to do it. No amenities provided outside of pjs, one small towel, some room temp green tea and a toothbrush. No common area or even place to sit to put on shoes. No screen on the window so can’t open it without a million mosquitos coming in. Air conditioning made sounds like it was broken all night long. Front desk leaves at 7pm and is no where to be found if you need assistance before that anyway. Front doors are open all night with no lock. There is nothing worth noting in this neighborhood. +I absolutely loved staying at Manten-no-Hoshi in Hakone. The hotel has an onsen, which made the experience special, and our room faced the mountains, offering a lovely natural setting. We arrived earlier than planned, left our bags at the hotel and headed straight out to continue our journey to Mount Fuji. It was a memorable stay and a wonderful way to experience Hakone.
−The hotel was a little too dark for my personal preference. Brighter lighting in some areas would have made the atmosphere more comfortable.

“Bonne experience”
+Etre dans un logement traditionnel. Se sentir en sécurité. Accès aux Onsens quand on le souhaite. Serviettes et kimonos changés tous ls jours. Thé et bouilloire à disposition. Proximité d'une station de métro.
−Le personnel n'est pas présent tout le temps et mets du temps à répondre par mail. Peu d'équipements, et de magasins / restaurants mais nous le savions.

+Hébergement traditionnel très apprécié. Bien situé à 2 minutes de la gare. Les lieux sont propres, les osens intérieurs et extérieurs sont très bien. Le service de bagagerie est très utile. J'ai vraiment apprécié mon séjour.

“Un séjour relaxant”
+- Les bains chauds ouverts 24 heures sur 24 (et privé) - Le côté authentique avec les tatamis et les futons (très confortables) - Le calme de la campagne - Personnel bienveillant et à l'écoute - Le restaurant à côté est très bon (mais il ne faut pas être pressé) - Une supérette qui dépanne
−- Les logements sont très mal isolés, il y a beaucoup de bruit dès 7-8 heures (intendance des chambres, checkout des clients, les portes du onsen qui claque très fortement : nous étions dans la chambre juste à côté - Impossible de se balader sans prendre le bus (les routes autour sont très dangereuses)
