“Super place - loved the room and the view.”
+This place exceeded our expectations - we really enjoyed our stay here and would’ve loved to have stayed longer. The location is great, right in the old town, just a short 5-10min walk to the waterfront and all the shops and restaurants. Parking is free and easy, just out in the street or in nearby parking areas - always plenty of free spaces. Our room was amazing! We opted for the room with sea view (#7) and had a balcony with the most amazing views over the town and Pico volcano across the straits. We spent a lot of time out there enjoying the view and the sunshine. Our room was large, bright, clean, and airy with plenty of windows and storage space. It felt very luxurious. Overall we had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend it to other travellers.
−The TV was small, non-smart, and with limited programming. Needs an upgrade. A small fridge in the room would have been appreciated. There is a bit of street noise (cars driving by) so if you’re a light sleeper you can make use of the provided earplugs. The breakfast was decent, though we didn’t really like the cramped, close-quarter, community style bench seating. We would’ve preferred our own table.

“Perfect.”
+We stayed in room no 7 and had the most magnificent view over Pico and part of the harbour. A big and airy room, lots of light, a nice balcony and a big bathroom. We were served a delicious breakfast in the mornings; fruit salad, yoghurt, a boiled egg and bread. We are so satisfied with our stay. Be aware that Horta is very hilly and the lodge is situated a steep street up from sea level and the lodge has no lift.

−Der Balkon mit Sicht aufs Meer ist nur in 1 Zimmer Leider gab es kein kein Frühstück, wegen personellen Engpässen. Der 8€ Gutschein reichte in der Bäckerei nicht weit.

+Wunderschönes Zimmer mit Terrasse und Meerblick inkl. Sicht auf Pico. Das Frühstück gibt es in 5-minütiger Gehdistanz, sehr feine Brote, freundliche Bedienung.

−Wir haben ein Zimmer der Kategorie „Sea View Deluxe“ gebucht. Die Buchung und insbesondere die Fotos vermittelten eindeutig den Eindruck eines Zimmers mit Terrasse/Balkon und direktem Blick auf das Meer und die Berge. Bei der Ankunft erhielten wir jedoch ein völlig anderes Zimmer: klein, eng, ohne Terrasse oder Balkon, lediglich mit einem eingeschränkten Blick durch ein Fenster. Das Zimmer entspricht weder den Fotos noch der berechtigten Erwartung an die gebuchte Kategorie „Sea View Deluxe“. Vor Ort wurde uns zudem mitgeteilt, dass das auf den Fotos gezeigte Zimmer bereits belegt war und offenbar gar nicht für unsere Buchung verfügbar war. Aus unserer Sicht handelt es sich daher um eine irreführende Darstellung der Unterkunft.

+Sehr geschmackvolle Einrichtung des Zimmers. Gute Informationen.
−Aufgrund Personalausfall gab es kein Frühstück in der Unterkunft. Anstelke gab es einen wenig grosszügigen 8 EUR Gutschein für eine Bäckerei. Das war kein adäquater Ersatz. Die Strasse vor der Lodge ist eher laut.

+Kleines Hotel mit sehr schönem Zimmer (Raum 3)
−Direkt an einer Pflastersteinstrasse und dadurch sehr laut. Das Hotel reagiert aber darauf, indem Schlafmaske und Ohrstöpsel direkt im Zimmer liegen.
