“Peaceful Respite, Treated Like Family!”
+Jan and the entire staff made us feel like we were part of the family. We stayed here for a week while attending a retreat nearby and they literally took care of our every worry - from drivers to delicious homemade meals delivered to our rooms. A true respite of calm and peace just a short trip from Ubud. Highly recommended!

“The Best Value Overall 10/10”
+They were incredibly accommodating here in every aspect. They let me check in early, check out late, arranged transportation for me to the zoo as well as a fire dance. Jan was an incredible host.

“Very beautiful and kind environment, great service!”
+The staff was amazing!! So kind, helpful and service minded. The pool area and garden were so beautiful and peaceful. The food was very good quality, and you get room service for every meal without an additional cost!
−As with anywhere in Bali, there were a lot of insects, so bring bug spray and keep your food away from the ants. There were a lot of noises around since the neighbors had roosters, dogs and children making a lot of noise just behind the fence.

“Relaxing, authentic, friendly, comfortable and pampering 🙏”
+This little gem is a must see when in Bali. It’s incredibly close to the zoo and reptile/bird park. It’s got two or three jewellery making classes walking distance from it. The rooms are spacious, the facilities are very nice and the common areas are very well maintained. The pool is large and the garden is amazing. The surrounding views are beautiful . The meals are authentic and delicious. And of course the staff are just amazing - you feel like you are on your own and have total privacy while it only takes a minute for the staff to get anything you need.

+Hidden gem! Got discovered during our month long honeymoon here in Bali. We were tired of city traffic, noises and this place came in right time. we really enjoyed our stay here. Because the property offers everything to you - laundry cleaning, breakfast and dinner on place( had several good options),gives information about all acitivities possible around there. I booked fishing trip with local Indonesian guy and Mandala Desa helped me organizing everything. EVEN prepared breakfast because I had to leave early morning. That fishing trip was one of highligts during all my trip. ALSO I manage to catch quite big Tuna( and the Mandala staff prepared it for us, taste was absolutly Great!)And other day we had village tour - What was also amazing, to see real local people life there. Mandala Desa was perfect stay if you want to see real Bali without crowded places and tourists everywhere.
−Nothing to say.

“Authentic tranquil experience”
+Such an amazing property out of the hustle and bustle with an authentic tranquil vibe. Idyllic views when you first wake up and a nice pool area to relax which is situated in the sun so always a nice temperature! The staff were also super friendly and there to accommodate all needs. The food options were also of high quality and very fresh ingredients, with loads of international options to suit children as well as authentic local dishes. Will definitely return next time we are in Ubud!

“Mandala Desa, a pearl of Bali”
+If paradise exists, then it is at Mandala Desa. Jan and his home are authentic, and fortunately, we didn’t encounter the Bali of mass tourism here. Instead, we stayed in a traditional house reminiscent of the colonial period (no offense to the Indonesians), overlooking a wild and beautiful natural landscape. Jan is an exceptional host, and his staff will pamper you every moment, making you feel both a guest and a local at the same time. The true luxury here, beyond the meticulous attention to guests, is the sincerity of the place and the people. Nestled in a small rural village, Mandala Desa is an eastern gem I will never forget. Thank you, Ja
