“Lovely eco-friendly stay with a great location, but some basic amenities and safety maintenance need improvement.”
+Great location with a beautiful, eco-friendly environment. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room condition was clean and comfortable.
−We stayed as 4 guests but only 2 tea making sets were provided, and when we requested more, we were told they were finished. Also, the wooden staircase was damaged and felt unsafe, which was quite concerning.

+Distance to Temple of tooth is about 1 km, that is easily walkable along the lake pavement or by wheel/tuk tuk with 500 lkr (no meters, of course).
−Oh!! There were many things that I did not like. However, since I didn't pay a huge money, I don't want to mention for those shortcomings. Let me start with something that shop remember. When I arrive, the hotel owner yelled at the helper, saying give them the colored towels. First of all, I had to ask for the towels. Towels were not provided and then second of all. They look at the people arriving at the hotel and assigned them color or white towels. Maybe non white people soiled their towels more often??? I don't know? Then the bedroom windows were advised to be kept closed, because there are monkeys coming in. When I keep the windows close, there are no air conditioning, so the condensation inside the bedroom/bathroom has no way to escape. They had the high ceilings. However, the ceiling is tucked to the wall.So there is no way for the air to be circulated. There were so many small operational difficulties in the bathroom. Some like bathroom door is not very easy to close and it was set using a cardboard. When I'm checking out, I had to pay by sri lankan rupees, however, booking com says I can pay by US Dollars, when I try to pay by the US dollars, the owner refused to accept any

“Very bad. A thief”
+We booked a room through booking.com and came to this place, and by that time he had informed us that all his rooms were already booked. Later, he informed us that if we called from another number, we could get a room for a higher price. 😡😡😡 A thief
