“Perfect place to stay in Udaipur”
+The perfect place to stay when in Udaipur. Everything in walking distance as well as the buzz of local life. A beautiful place to stay and the staff went above and beyond to make my stay perfect (especially when I was sick). A small swimming pool - perfect to cool off in the heat and delicious breakfast. Right around the corner is a sister to Madri Retreat with a wonderful rooftop restaurant and lovely sunset meal. A very special place with very special people. Thank you.

“Very charming space. A little oasis in the old town and very intimate stay . Great views from the terrace and lovely use”
+Beautiful, modern, clean, attention to detail and charm and felt like an intimate stay. Comfortable bed, good solutions for the heat. Lovely staff. Pool and terrace were lovely. Bathroom in the room was the best of all my trips in India.
−The way the menu is designed for breakfast is a little odd. Loved the local options for breakfast but it didn’t feel like a complete breakfast, it’d have been better to be able to mix and match with a couple of options. Nevertheless the taste was great and fresh. The noise insulation could be improved in the rooms, when it was noisy outside it was a bit loud.

+We had a wonderful stay at the Madri Retreat. It was very clean and comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. When we accidentally turned off our AC in the middle of the night and thought it was broken, they immediately came to sort it out for us. They are happy to book taxis or TukTuks for you too. Breakfasts were delicious with a choice of Indian breakfast or continental. The small courtyard pool was a lovely place to sit by and take a dip in. The rooftop Skyfall restaurant at their sister hotel (about 1 minutes walk away) was also excellent with superb views across the city. Lovely at night.

+Great location for the palace, boat tours and ghats. Its positioning on the hill means you get some great views of the city from the roof. Very comfortable, attentive staff. I had been busy moving from city to city prior to my stay, so was ready to chill on the roof in the sun or by the pool a bit by the time I reached Udaipur - and it’s the perfect city for it. If you’re into art, there’s a really lovely store tucked away over the bridge called Pacific Art Udaipur - local specialist artists who do incredibly delicate work at reasonable prices (hence being slightly away from the main tourist thoroughfare). I recommend checking it out. Lovely people, no pressure.
−It was exactly what I had booked. It is on the minimalist side and I usually go for a little more character, but it was comfortable and I slept like a dream.

+Every thing was very good. A very nice place to stay, close to Jagdishji Mandir and City Palace 👌
−Access to the Haveli is a little challenging since it is an uphill walk although they do provide auto transportation from the Haveli to Chandpol

+Excellent property with brilliant facilities, really nice rooms in a heritage building. Best part of our stay were the staff, who were incredibly kind and helpful. The nearby rooftop of the sister hotel is very nice for sunset and drinks. Highly recommend

“Stay here!- worth the few extra dollars! ( I’m not a guide - just a satisfied tourist from USA)”
+I have never been so thrilled with a hotel!!- A perfect oasis to escape to when the thrilling madness of the streets of Udaipur become a bit much. Every day was a new adventure, but coming back to relax in the cool small perfectly maintained pool was the gem in the crown ( I know I sound ridiculous but this hotel really hit the spot!)
−No complaints!( well, actually it was a wee bit tricky to find; you have to ask to go to chandpole parking if arriving by car; from there the tuk, tuk took us to madri haveli- where they redirected us to made retreat around the corner)
