4.0“Great staff”
+Great food.. Menu was great. Service good
−On booking, I have paid for a bungalow of two room. But they gave me only one small room for the same price. They told me that the price was for 1room only, why we have description then

3.0“The room was cold and impractical. There are better options if you look for just room without tour.”
+They provide airport transfer for 70k and it went well. The location is central and the receptionists were responsive during the pre-arrival organization, however they didn’t help me with the events I wanted to attend. I had the feeling it was by purpose, just a feeling, but anyway they did not help me with that. The tourism industry is super competitive and there’s only one chance to make a good first impression, which is essential for a second chance.
−The Wi-Fi didn’t work in the room, only in the common area. There was no shared kitchen to cook yourself and it was dangerous to go out for dinner. The problem is not just the area where the hotel is, it is simply Madagascar: I would never recommend it to families. The area near the hotel gets full of prostitutes, some clearly underage, and that’s nothing of what happens after sunset. I went to eat at the market nearby carrying nothing with me but 5k (a full dinner costed 3k) and with broken shoes (like common in Africa, they cannot break-in locked phones, but they may have you at knifepoint for stealing your new shoes). The room was very cold at night and there is no heating system: I had to ask for a second comforter which they had difficulties to find. The toilet is right next to the bed and I was alone, but the room is sold for two as well and it would be very embarrassing to poop literally in front of the person with you lying on the bed with all the smell and the sounds. I got the bungalow upstairs, but I think they sell also another one on the ground floor which is right in front of where the workers stay all the time and go back and forth to the kitchen, which makes it even

6.0“Great location and super friendly staff, but the bungalows can be quite noisy.”
+The staff were genuinely one of the best things about my stay. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. They all spoke very good English and were always quick to help whenever I had a question or needed something. Especially when I had just arrived in Madagascar, this made my first days much easier. The location is another big advantage. The hostel is very centrally located, and you can reach many places easily on foot, so I hardly needed to take a taxi. My room in the back area was also quite comfortable and nicely furnished. Overall, I liked the atmosphere of the hostel. It has a lively, local feel, and I can understand why many locals enjoy spending time there and attending the events.
−The main downside for me was the location of my room. I stayed in one of the bungalows in the back, right next to the kitchen, so it could get quite noisy. Especially on my first night, there were several staff members sitting and eating directly outside the room. I completely understand that staff need a place where they can take their breaks, have a cigarette, chat and simply relax. I actually think it is important that they have that space. However, having this area directly next to the rooms, separated only by a glass door, meant that the noise was quite noticeable. Because of this, if I stayed again, I would probably choose a dorm rather than the bungalow. The dorms are located on the other side and might be a better option if you are looking for a quieter stay. The hostel could also get quite loud during events. This is more of a personal preference, though. The hostel seems to attract quite a lot of locals, and I think the events are a great way to create a lively and social atmosphere. It just wasn’t always ideal for me when I wanted to relax or sleep. I also expected to meet a few more international travellers during my stay. I met relatively few other travellers who were

3.0+The rooms were nice and staff were very friendly
−There was no running water while I stayed here which means toilets, sinks and showers were all not working and bathrooms were not clean. There also wasn’t toilet paper in any of the bathrooms. It just wasn’t possible to stay here so I left early. When I did a walking tour I was being followed by a random man, and when I got to the hostel he was able to walk past security with no issues until the guide I was with told them not to let him in. I don’t know what the point of having security if they let anyone walk in

7.0“A party hostel with friendly staff”
+The location is ok, a few minutes walk to one of the main bar and resto streets. The staff are good, always smiling and ready to help. I made a double booking by mistake and the problem was fixed very easily. There are events happening every now and then in the bar downstairs with chearful and friendly locals. The bunk bad was ok. The price is good, if you are looking for a cheap place.
−This is an old house turned into a bar/hostel. The rooms and the toilets are worn down. The shower area is crowded with little cabins. There no hot water, or maybe it takes time to get hot water as the pressure is bad? The water supply is not 24hrs/day. The internet connection is slow and only operates upstairs, next to the room, not in the common area or the bar. There are 2-3 sockets in the dorm room with 11 beds and they are not functioning normally. The food and the drinks are overpriced. But then again, you get what you pay for. So, I recommend this place if you are down on budget and like a party hostel.

8.0+I had a small room with a toilet and shower (it's what they call "a bangalow") for myself. It was okay but don't expect the luxury.
−Sheets could be cleaner....

6.0+Location and staff
−Dirty as hell, bungalow right behind the kitchen, basically zero privacy if you open the curtain. If you keep it closed it super daak inside
