“Best time ever”
+Just the best hostel to stay in Cairns ! If you wanna meet new friends, chill by the pool, have drinks at the coolest bar and have you best time that’s the place. Good vibes only 🌴

“Very bad experience, don't recommend”

−Check-in / Staff: The receptionist (a blonde woman with light eyes) was extremely moody and unwelcoming. They didn't show us around or guide us to the room at all, and all answers were given in a monotone, indifferent manner. Room & Safety: The room smelled awful. Other guests clearly weren't showering or washing their clothes, and they were smoking both cigarettes and weed inside the room. People were constantly coming in and out all night long. Honestly, it leaves a lot to be desired,many people seemed high all the time. The sense of insecurity was so bad that we couldn't rest or sleep peacefully, on top of all the annoying noise throughout the night. Facilities & Cleanliness: The air conditioning worked poorly and was nowhere near enough for the size of the room. It was extremely humid, to the point where water was dripping down the walls. The bathrooms,both inside the room and in the common areas,were terrible and filthy all the time. Kitchen: The kitchen was poorly equipped and infested with cockroaches. Food was left on the floor inside the fridge, and people would open or tamper with the boxes where you stored your food. Overall: The entire hostel smells like marijuana c

+Amazing atmosphere, great location and really nice facilities ! The pool area is lovely and a great place to relax and meet other travellers The hostel has a fun, social vibe that makes it easy to make friends. Perfect place to stay in Cairns :)

“A fantastic fun filled week meeting old friends and new! I’ll be back!”
+From the moment arriving back to Mad Monkey Jungle, it was like I had never left. The whole team were exceptional Carol, Joel, Lu and Tom stood out for me in their roles! Each night there is something fun going on at the bar area where there’s prizes to won. The hostel has a friendly atmosphere and it has been so lovely to be back again after some time away. I’ll most definitely be back and booking to stay at Mad Monkey Jungle again. It feels like coming home to family!
−The only thing I didn’t like about the property was having to say goodbye!
