“The flat is very central , no steep slope to climb to get there, altgough there are external and internal staiirs.”
+The location of the property was great and had all you needed. You are in the heart of Vernazza with many eateries and bars close to hand. You are minutes from the harbour, beach and train starion and the trails of course. The host had been very thoughtful and left us information on trails and ferry times. There are private boat trips also from the harbour.
−Bathroom was rather tight but clean and functional.

+We booked 2 apartments adjoined by a common area. Perfect for two couples traveling together.
−We were somewhat worried about other reviews and the steep stairs but with four of us making a “bucket brigade” for our luggage, we quickly and safely got all the luggage to the third floor.

+This was a replacement since our original hotel was double-booked even though I had a confirmation from May 2nd. The original hotel manager/owner found our replacement. It was decent but funky room layout primarily due to limited space. Large bedroom but tiny (squeeze thru the door) bathroom. The building layout probably did not allow for a better configuration. Stairs to bedroom were EXTREMELY STEEP. However stairs could not be configured in another way. While easy for us to climb, not good for people with feet/leg issues.

+Convenient
−The room was ok. Nothing great but we made it work. We would not stay here again in the future. The air conditioning was a stand alone unit and it was VERY loud. We had to choose to either be hot at night or cool but not sleep due to the noise. A drying rack should have been provided given that we were just steps from the local beach. All other accommodations I saw after we’d booked this came with a drying rack. The shower is ridiculously tiny. I am only 5’3”, 120 lbs but I I dropped the soap there was no room to bend and pick it up. The shower only provides 50 liters of hot water. We found this out when we arrived. That’s enough for maybe one 5 minute shower. God forbid if two people want to shower before dinner. One will have only cold water. This should definitely be listed on the accommodation details. Our towels smelled very musty. We requested a new set, which the provided but explained that it was not normal to be given a new set. Only one set of keys is provided and you need them to unlock from the inside if the apartment. So if your partner goes out either they lock you in or don’t have keys. 2 sets need to be provided and a locking mechanism that dies t require a key from

“Convenient, quiet, central, easy.”
+They provided a beautiful video which made it so easy to follow and find. We arrived unexpectedly late so this was an extra nice feature. Andrea was very responsive, welcoming us on whatsapp. The place had nice air conditioning (necessary during summer) and a very comfortable bed. The plug-ins for charging our phones and laptop were easy to use. It was quiet despite being on the main street. So convenient to everything! Very kind and flexible and great at communicating. Highly recommended!

“VERY BASIC - BEWARE OF SCAM”
+Location and ease to access.
−Guests are locked behind 2 doors that only open from the inside with a key for both doors. Should have a turn lock to open from the inside. This is a HUGE risk in case of the need to exit in an emergency. Only 1 hard, flat pillow per guest. No daily maid service or clean towels unless you ask for new towels. NO TV and loud portable air conditioning unit. Need to take fast showers as small hot water tank runs out in about 5-7 minutes. Need to check-out early at 10:00 a.m. NO fresh air from outside as there's a fish fry restaurant downstairs. BEWARE! After checking out the owner might try to scam you into paying for fake damage and threaten you with reports to the Police and blocking your passport upon trying to leave Italy. This is a TOTAL SCAM and if she was there to inspect the room and take the keys upon checkout, this wouldn't be an issue. But she insists on using a lockbox, contrary to Italian Government rules. This also means she does not personally validate who your fellow guests are and whether they actually match their passports. AVOID this property and rebook elsewhere if you can!!

“This accomodation fell below what we were expecting! However the host was very responsive to our enquires.”
+The location was pretty good.
−The description of the room and facilities did not match what was actually there. The constant smell from the restaurant below was overbearing so it made it hard to open the windows to get fresh air. There are no cupboards that we could use and the room was tiny and not very comfortable. The noise from people partying until 1am was annoying.

−The room was tiny and virtually taken up entirely by a full size (not king) bed. The space was too cramped and awkward for 2 people to circulate. Storage was inadequate as all the cupboards were locked and labeled STAFF ONLY. No shampoo/conditioner available.
