“We can’t wait to come back!”
+Welcoming staff and excellent location.
−Really no “con” to this place. It’s not posh, but it’s very comfortable and clean.

“It was just ok.”
+It was easy to find and centrally located. The bed was comfortable.
−The staff was unwelcoming even though we had arrived about 1:30 and said we were coming around 1:00. She was busy changing a light bulb at the time. I had requested a walk in shower due to mobility issues and was given a room with a traditional tub. Even handrails would have helped.

“The only thing that I didn’t like at all was the bed”
+The location was exceptional
−The bed was old and wore out. Very uncomfortable to sleep in

“Great base to explore Snaefelsness.”
+The property is one of a row of apartments with a turf roof. There are great views down to the shore and west towards Snaefelsness volcano and snowcap. The apartment was spacious with a small kitchen, dining area and two bedrooms. It was warm and had effective heating. We could walk out of the back door, through a meadow and down to the beach.
−The property had clearly been built a number of years ago and was rather tired and the facilities quite basic. Be aware that there is almost nothing in the way of shops, food etc. within many km (or miles), so bring everything you need with you.

“We probably would not stay here again.”
+The location was convenient to many things. It was nice having a place for breakfast next door. The bed was comfortable. New towels were furnished when asked.
−It could have been cleaner. The floor in front of the sliding glass door had a lot of leaves from the deck outside. The deck had not been cleaned and the chairs on the deck were very dirty as was the table. The shower was very small and no tub. The advertisement said laundry facilities were available to guests and were in each room. There were no laundry facilities for guests. Staff wasn't there when we checked out on Sunday at 9:00 am. Coffee maker was very small and the coffee was not good.

“You get what you pay for when staying in Door County.”
+Our king size bed was comfortable.
−The air conditioner was so loud it sounded like a diesel engine in our room. The carpeting was filthy. Our son had dirty knees, feet, and hands from crawling on it. Except for the TV, the appliances in the room dated back to the late 80's or early 90's. The office opens late in the morning and closes early in the evening, so there's nobody there to help you with anything urgent. There's no room service. If you want clean towels, you have to collect them yourself, put them in a basket, leave the basket outside your front door, and hope they bring you new towels before the next day.
