“Really good - and really good value.”
+We booked here after a power cut in Dunkeld forced us to relocate. I was concerned about the negative reviews, but as the lady I called was very helpful, we decided to proceed - and it was great! The staff were very welcoming, the hotel clean and smart, the food really good; our children, 11, 9 and 6, loved the chicken tenders, chips, churros, ice cream - and we really enjoyed a good steak. I was in room 217 and the bathroom was a bit chilly, the shower only ok, but otherwise we were very pleased. Tremendous value for money.
−That cold bathroom and tricky shower.

+Good sized room, friendly staff
−Tired, not me, the room. Damage to fixtures, including in the bathroom, exposed wiring where someone had dodged wires to reach a plug socket. Windows needed cleaning and in the bathroom, repairing to prevent draughts.

“Budget hotel in a convenient location with parking”
+The hotel is a short 10 minute walk from the city centre but we knew that so it wasn't a concern. The readily available parking is a big positive even though it costs £2 per day which is not much. The rooms were warm and sufficient although slightly dated. The shower worked fine.
−No breakfast option but again we knew this so not an issue.

“Hotel is a little tired could do with some new brighter decoration, could also do wth a lift”
+Quiet ,roasting hot water ,plenty of hot beverages ,nice and warm , two full length mirrors , if you were getting ready for a special occasion ,comfy bed.
−Headboard of bed had a couple of broken wooden slats , which spoiled the look of the room , although shower had plenty of hot water it lacked a bit of force for a comfy quick shower and very slow drainage from the shower .

“Tried once hopefully won’t need to repeat stay.”
+Everything just adequate.
−Given room in tired annex only accessible to me by going outside. Bathroom totally inadequate with nowhere to place toiletries.

“Disappointing.”
+Location of hotel was great, friendly staff too. The room size was fab!
−The lack of heating is shocking! The bar was really cold and the room only had a small blow heater to warm the place. Radiator and panel heater didn't work.
