“Paradise in the desert”
+We liked the set up of the camp. There was an outdoor sitting area, beautiful restaurant on the property, and an area with a fire in the middle with seating where you could drink tea/coffee and relax. You could also explore the rocks and there was a great spot above to watch the sunset. It was about 20 minutes from Petra which was nice while giving the feeling of camping in the desert. Staff were super friendly! Comfortable lodging 😊
−You had to pay for both breakfast and dinner, whereas other hotels will include at least breakfast.

+Exceptional stay at Small Petra Bedouin Camp! This place exceeded every expectation we had for our Jordan trip. Huge shoutout to Ahmed, whose incredible hospitality made our whole experience unforgettable. He greeted us warmly, shared local tips for exploring Petra and Little Petra, and was always quick to help with anything we needed. The accommodation was surprisingly comfortable, clean and well-maintained, letting us rest perfectly after long days hiking the ancient sites. We also fell in love with their lovely gentle big dog roaming around the camp, it added such a lovely warm touch to the Bedouin atmosphere. Nestled amid stunning rocky landscapes, the camp feels peaceful and authentic. If you are visiting Petra, do not miss staying here. We will absolutely come back and highly recommend this magical camp to all travellers!

“Magical”
+The staff and “owning family” that worked there were brilliant and welcoming, the location was unreal and perfect for a nice couple hours wander to little Petra, as well as for the shuttle to the “back door” of Petra which was really well recommended by the Egyptian man at the reception who did almost everything (and we were very appreciative for this!!). The property itself was incredibly gorgeous and you could tell they really take care of it- it was really beautifully done. The room was very clean with a nice bathroom. WiFi was only in the communal area, which didn’t cause a problem at all (meant we spent more time out of bed!), but there was great signal around if you NEEDED to use your phone in your room. Breakfast and dinner was delicious and plentiful, dinner particularly was a standout, as well as the tea after!
−The MOST minor thing, really wished the windows could have been a bit larger.

“Will visit again”
+The location is super near little Petra, i highly recommend staying here, the room is super comfortable( the pillow is out of this world). Ahmad Al-Salameen is super hospitable, he made our stay feels like home. Such a great place and experience. The min. you enter, you are literally in the middle of the mountain with a fascinating view. Will visit again thats for sure.

+First, the camp offered excellent bedouin atmosphere (the design of the public areas, food, music, tea offerings, the fireplace, the surrounding environment). Second, the staff was helpful to a degree that will be hard to match in other locations. The staff acted very flexibly with regards to meal times and check ins and was very accommodating by arranging last minute drives for us to the airport and our other camp in Wadi Rum. Due to the war situation, we ended up being the only guests in the camp, which proved to be one of most unique and memorable travel experiences we have had (and we have traveled close to 50 countries).

+Sehr nette Mitarbeiter, tolle Lichtinszenierung, große und leckere Essenauswahl (Abendessen und Frühstück), auch für unseren 6 jährigen Sohn. Sehr nettes Beisammensein am Lagerfeuer mit kostenlosem Tee. Little Petra ist schnell fußläufig erreichbar. Kostenloser Parkplatz direkt beim Camp.

+Tutto! Ci abbiamo trascorso 3 notti e dall’arrivo sino alla partenza possiamo dire di essere stati accolti come se fossimo parte della famiglia. Ahmad e Mohamed si sono dimostrati da subito preziosi nella loro gentilezza e professionalità. Il cibo era deliziosamente preparato con cura, vario e abbondante. L’atmosfera e i toni caldi dell’arredo beduino hanno completato la magia del nostro soggiorno. Pulizia e posizione eccellente per chi come noi ha destinato 2 giorni a Petra. Vi portiamo nel cuore Ahmad e Mohamed e “ci vediamo presto”! Manuela e Stefano
