“Angus was a fantastic host. Would much rather stay here than in the crowded, touristy Portree.”
+Great country location with wonderful west-facing view. The room was bigger than we expected, and the shared bathroom was just outside our door. We appreciated all the snacks and the art and knickknacks on the walls.

“Comfortable, kitsch, and memorable!”
+Angus, the host was great! Very personable, attentive, and down to earth! It was one of the highlights of our trip to be able to talk to him about Scotland and his travels. We loved the vegan breakfast he made specially for us. We both felt like staying at this B&B was a unique experience that added value to our trip and was better than staying in a hotel!

“Great stay at Agnus Lighthouse Cottage”
+The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the house decoration was really interesting, with a mix of lego, star wars, planes, and other collectables. Agnus was friendly and since we had breakfast included he prepared it for us each of the mornings. The rooms have a shared bathroom, which was according to the booking information, and the facility was clean. We had dinner at a nearby place (The Galley), which offered decent food. The Fairy Glen was extremely close to the house and for other touristic visits a longer car trip was needed, which was fine.
−There is parking available but make sure you park the way Agnus indicates so everyone can come in and out easily (drivers on the main road pass quite fast so it is dangerous to back into it).

“Worst I ever experienced in my life.”
−The owner greeted us in the driveway by berating us for being 22 minutes late. Said we were high maintenance Americans. I apologized for being 22 minutes late and tried to explain to him why and he wouldnt let me finish my sentence and said it shouldnt have taken us that long to drive from Oban to Skye and said what were you doing on the way. I was surprised to find the location to be 10 miles away from Portree and told him I thought from the description it was very close and he said if you dont like it then why dont you leave, I dont want you here and will give you a full refund if you leave now,right now. I said how do we find a vacancy this late and he said thats your problem. The owner was extremely rude and had great anger issues. We out of desperation stayed the first night and in the morning left and by luck found a lovely room with lovely people at the Woodside Inn in Portree. So I called Angus Stuart to tell him we wouldnt be back for our second night and to let him know where I left the key and he hung up on me.

“Amazing! A+++ location”
+The host was very kind and helpful! The room is cozy, with lots of unique details you won’t find anywhere else. The location is perfect, and I’m so glad I chose it,it’s an ideal spot if you want to hike Quiraing and The Storr. The view from the room is truly priceless!

“We loved our stay at the Lighthouse Cottage! Angus was incredibly responsive and accommodating, the location was perfect”
+The location was perfect for us as it was easy to reach right off a main road, near some hikes we were interested in doing and close enough to Portree to go into town quite easily for a few hours. We also found all the decorations were really interesting and they added a lot of character to the property.

+Gazda primitoare, pat destul de bun, am avut la dispozitie fierbator, tacamuri, farfurii, masa si scaune in camera, plus dulciuri si ceaiuri la dispozitie. Desi a fost baie comuna, am beneficiat de doua bai, una de serviciu si cealalta cu dus, curate amandoua. A fost un mic frigider pe hol unde am putut stoca cate ceva pentru micul dejun. Am avut loc de parcare asigurat.
−Mai multa curatenie in camera, fara sa fi gasit sticle goale, praf pe parchet si in general a fost un aer inchis. ar fi ajutat sa avem acces la bucatarie si aerul din camera a fost in general unul inchis. De asemenea, locatia nu e amenajata in regim hotelier, ci mai degraba o casa normala cu toate obiectele proprietarului data spre inchiriat, ceea ce ne-a facut sa ne simtim putin inghesuiti

+L’emplacement et sa proximité avec Portree. Pratique pour y faire le nord ouest et le sud ouest
−Chambre très sale, très spartiate pour y manger (table de camping devant le lit) 1 salle de bain pour 8 Micro onde ne marchait pas (aucune information et Angus ne répond pas au message) Prix trop élevé par rapport au rapport qualité prix

“Muy acogedor y el dueño muy agradable”
+Es como si estuvieras invitado en su casa. En la habitación decorada con un montón de cosas adquiridas a lo largo de los años no faltaba de nada. Lo necesario y más para hacer la estancia lo más cómoda posible. Una habitación amplia , limpia y con vistas. Muy agradable
−Por poner un pero , tenia cámaras por toda la zona común de la casa y exterior cosa que entiendo por seguridad, a mi no me importó pero a gustos colores
