“Robinson Crusoe's delight”
+Delightful homestay in front of Pulau Papan's village and coral reef. Daily expeditions to explore Malenge's snorkeling spots. Delicious homemade cuisine and chill vibes. Special thanks to Akbar for the organisation of the snorkeling trips!
−Not a negative but a warning: this is not a chain resort but a chill homestay. Please be aware that the amenities are those of an end-of-the-world beach. There is running water but no on-demand hot showers. The toilet's flush is a bucket of water on site (and it works perfectly fine). Electricity is available from 6pm to midnight because they turn on an on-site generator, which is absolutely fine: just bring a power bank. Go there to live the Robinson Crusoe experience, not for the Hilton. Also, some guests were dead set on diving: this seemed to be a bit difficult but not impossible

+The location is amazing; the bungalows are clean and spacious, right on the beach, and just a few steps away you're in the water. You can snorkel directly from the pier or by taking a boat to the nearby jetty dotted with beautiful gorgonians. The staff is incredibly welcoming, including Andi, the all-rounder, the cooks, and a special mention for Akbar, who took us on a mandarin fish discovery tour.

“A nice place opposite Pulau Papan village”
+Great and extremely helpful staff (esp. Jack, also Andi). A beautiful white-sand beach, and a very nice view out onto the water from the front porch of the cottage. Cool to have the turquoise lagoon out back. I was only there for one night but it sounded like there was good snorkeling in the area.
−Compared to other beautiful places I saw in the Togeans, this place was overpriced. The location is directly opposite the Pulau Papan village, which meant boat noise at various times of day and night. There was an extremely loud cat on the property. Temporary water outage. Be aware that WiFi is available only after 5:30 pm (upon purchase of a 4-hour voucher).

“Expensive and not good value in my opinion”
+Bungalows were clean and well presented. Tiled floors, matching decor, large verandah with hammock and seating.
−All inclusive food was not to our liking. Fish was served twice a day as was cold fried eggs in place of chicken/meat for the non fish eaters. Limited electricity 5.30 - 10 pm daily, no hot water and you could only use the fan when power was on. Uncomfortable bed/terrible pillows and rooms were hot

+Es werden viele Touren angeboten, das Essen ist sehr lecker und um ca. 4 Uhr gibt es auch immer noch einen kleinen Traditionellen Snack (jeden Tag etwas anderes). Das Menu passt sich dem an was gerade da ist und gefangen wurde. Akbar hat den Aufenthalt ganz einzigartig gemacht! Er hat einem jeden Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen, hat alles organisiert und möglich gemacht. Seine ehrliche, offene und sehr wertschätzende Art war sehr erfrischend und dank ihm durften wie das mehr über das Leben auf Malenge von einem Einheimischen erfahren. danke Akbar!
−Leider waren einige des Personals nicht sehr hilfsbereit sondern eher genervt wenn man sie um Hilfe gebeten hat. Auch das Klima unter den Mitarbeitenden war spürbar angespannt. Die Better waren dreckig und definitiv schon von jemand anderem genutzt worden. Das fliessende Wasser ist bei unserem Aufenthalt 2x leer gegangen.
