+I had a wonderful stay here! This is a truly unique resort with a fascinating history. I especially loved the beautiful historic architecture and the peaceful surroundings. Staying in a former Soviet-era sanatorium was such a special experience. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxing, and I really enjoyed walking around the beautiful grounds. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. It’s not just a place to sleep, but also a wonderful place to experience a piece of history. Great hospitality and a memorable experience. Highly recommended!

+Great stay in a building with a lot of old Sovjet history. We walked around and they gave us a tour of where Stalin once stayed (upon request). The breakfast was good with the most fresh fruits we saw in the whole of Georgia.
−Mostly an older crowd that goes to the Sanatoria nearby during the day.

“Great dip back into Soviet-era experience”
+We went as tourists for the experience, but were surprised and pleased to find nearly everyone else was Georgian and there for the treatments. Good buffet breakfast and evening meal. Visit possible to “Stalin’s apartment” and to see trees planted by Yuri Gargarin. Stylish rooms with lots of refurbishment in progress

+The hotel is currently being renovated, there are parts in the background that seem rundown (but are veing worked on), but the areas in which the guests are located i personally found fine. You are staying in a historical place, it is quite different to most hotel, in which I have stayed. There is also a large outside swimming pool. Food is buffet style, it is not brilliant, but also not bad. Good to explore the lost places Sanotoriums on foot.
−I got beaten at UNO by a bunch of Georgian children. But I guess this is more of a personal thing.

“A real experience”
+This is an experience like no other - being able to stay in a refurbished soviet spa - you really get a feel for the grandeur of the times and they did well in not over modernising it so you can really get the atmosphere of what it use to be like. There is also a small museum with Russian objects and 1/2 of the building has been left untouched yet so it's a real window into what it must have been like.
−The swimming pool area is nice with a pool bar but it does play loud music pretty much all day long - pool can get pretty busy with kids and I also think it's open to locals for day trips so it can be a bit busy at weekends with a holiday club feel to it which i was not keen on - but we worked out that early in the morning or late as night provided us a bit more of a calmer atmosphere. Although there is a separate kids areas with slides and shallow waters - this was not open when we stayed which means it gave a different feel to the place - maybe when the kids pool is open it's a bit better ?!
